I cannot agree more. Planning a trip to eastern Europe (and maybe the US) September 2023. I have enough QFF points for 2 J seats one way and enough Krisflyer miles for 2 J seats the other way. I'm more than content that redeeming the Krisflyer miles will be painless (and cheaper) and I'll have plenty of flexibility. Stressing out already about how to use the QFF points. I can already see that I'll have to be very imaginative and fly into somewhere other than the preferred destination and then another flight to get to where we want to go. I know this will not make mrsramboflyer happy as she wants to spend as little time as possible in the air and avoid connections in places like Hong Kong and Japan during the cyclone season.I'm an AsiaMiles member (not Marco Polo), and have transferred from both Amex Rewards, and Westpac Altitude. I much prefer a program where there are decent awards available rather than a rubbish program like QF where you can easily get points, but there are very few awards, and those that are available come with other challenges like very high YQ.
Tell me about it, there was! but sometime in mid may it began drying rapidly to become almost non existent (for July)There’s actually a dearth of award and decent J revenue flight options Jul thru Sep across all airlines.
I was searching from late June onwards. But only options always did not include Qatar. They included other airlines but never Qatar. When I have searched before Qatar always were an option on some daysHow many days between now and the dates you are searching for?
I keep coming up with errors if I search any flights to Doha.Definitely struggling to find QR availability of any sort using Qanta's multi-city tool - searches aren't even returning results. I was hoping to book reward seats in the coming weeks so this has me worried!
Just out of interest is it not possible to pre reserve a seat on QR?Grabbed an Economy reward from Brisbane to Berlin via Doha in early November. Fingers crossed for a non-middle seat!
Yes, although not entirely sure for award seats in whY.Just out of interest is it not possible to pre reserve a seat on QR?
It is, but as it is 3 months out I would need to pay extra (economy reward).Just out of interest is it not possible to pre reserve a seat on QR?
I'm getting an HTTP ERROR 400 on the same search (which will be the return leg to match a trip booked a few weeks ago on QR. Hope they don't suddenly abandon all dump confirmed QFF reward bookings .)I'd say it's an issue with QF's search engine. I did a dummy search about an hour ago and got (sparse) availability showing for CDG-DOH-MEL. Did exactly the same search 5 minutes later and got the 500 (internal sever) error.
Plenty of QR economy seats showing from BNE to various ports in Europe on QR when using AAdvanatge program on random weeks I look at in October. Note these were all X-class (economy cabin). However, we do know that AA can show phantom availability at times. But sounds like different to QFF search results at the moment.Something definitely seems to be up. I can't see a single Qatar Airways award seat on any date or route on the Qantas website right now.
