What channel/streaming service?Anyone watching inside Turkish airlines?
Airport UK LHR had the papparazzi photographers in it too I htink.. Steve and someone and the manager for Cyprus Airways(?) and the guy from Gulf Air (I want to say Shakar, but I could be wrong there).
Yep not only that she "cant understand why passengers get heart attacks on airplanes"Airport customer experience manager was concerned about calling a "parametic"?
My number one pet hate with tv/movies on aviation is lack of continuity ie 738 takes off and 332 lands etc etc and Channel Nine certainly didn't disappoint rising to the occasion numerous times - and that's just in this episode. I hadn't watched any episodes of RFTO in their entirety up until now as I still had quite a few episodes of Homicide Hunter to get through first.
The heart attack incident on QF601 BNE/MEL is first depicted as a 738 when it's on finals and generally always is a 738 as are all other BNE/MEL flights however when the man is taken off the flight the a/c has morphed into a twin aisle A330 which must be VH-EBV as you can see the purple One World livery on the fuselage. There may have been a one off flight BNE/MEL on the 332 when it was fresh out of the hangar in BNE with the new J suites but I think this was before RFTO started filming so wouldn't have been that flight.
Then when it shows the ambulances on the tarmac for the above QF601 scene you see winglets that are only found on 738's or some JQ 320's and what looks to be a JQ A320 in the background.
The A380 that needed an engine change prior to flying to DXB was "David Warren" (VH-OQI) when towed into the hangar but "Phyllis Arnott" (VH-OQL) when it was towed out but then reverted back to "David Warren" again.
Not sure if the child on her way to Disneyland was upgraded to J with her Dad or in J to begin with as I thought earlier in the show it said somebody had given/donated 2 business class seats. As medical clearance would have been needed for her to fly this would have been done ahead of time so she could be seated next to a medical power point, have oxygen fitted to those seats etc. You can't just do last minute upgrades for MEDA pax.
It's not clear to me whether the Mum and brother also got upgraded in the end and if this was the "executive decision" the ACEM made. She would have the authority to upgrade so I don't know why it showed her earlier ringing the Customer Journey department with that request only to be told "no."
It was actually more entertaining watching SO's (who's a LAME) reactions to terminology such as "roadworthy" when OQI/OQL was towed into the hangar, and the presenters voice saying that you basically just needed "a hammer and a wrench" for the engine change being a "major mechanical makeover" whereas it was replaced altogether.
I liked the bar attendant at the opening of the QF Perth business lounge (episode 6) explaining the "3 V's of wine", and he could only remember "vintage".
We wondered that as well....late no-shows maybe?

Finally watched this episode - so what was the "executive decision" made to allow the family of four to all go to Disneyland in J? Did 2 people get bumped up to F?
Could have been a few things I guess. Either bumped up to F, or a couple of no-shows. Or perhaps there were a couple of spare seats but no specific catering and the pax agreed to forego a full meal in the event they ran out.
The CSM mentioned it was their largest plane so one assumes its the A388.
