By all means give it a go if you have been advised it will work now, but they weren’t accepted when I last tried, probably 2-3 months ago. Don’t recall the exact error message, just that I had tried Only1, CGMC and Vanilla VISA and all 3 struck out.

No need to PM these. All are prepaid Visa/Mastercards, CGMC is Coles Gift Mastercard, available only at Coles, Only1 and a Vanilla Visa are the real names of the other cards. They can be found at Supermarkets, Officeworks, some petrol stations and various other places.

How does the dragon workaround (if someone could PM me details?) direct to ATO compare to amex Plat Charge via someone like RewardPay? Higher fee charged for the Amex on RP, but higher points earn rate if I understand correctly.

Does anyone know of any issues with using ANZ Black Visa with Easy Bill Pay? I.E. does ANZ pay the points?

mrsamaroo has received what looks to be a decent offer from ANZ Black Visa ... assuming the bonus points are uncapped (will check with ANZ) you can earn 2P/$ up to $7.5K and then 1.5P/$ uncapped.

I would like to take full advantage of this offer with some significant ATO obligations.

mrsamaroo called ANZ, they confirmed the bonuses will be awarded uncapped in accordance with the earn rate I.E. 2P/$ for the first $7.5K/month and then 1.5P/$ uncapped. Happy Days!

The 1 refers to eligible spend ..... that's why I posted here to see if ANZ and EBP are kosher.

I've noticed that EBP credit card transactions are now showing in my internet banking as "Fox Symes Debt Solutions" rather than "EBP Sydney", however, on the card statement, it just shows "EBP Sydney". Perhaps a case of long vs short merchant name and which appears where, but I can't say I find the concept of "Debt Solutions" appearing on my cards very appealing, for transactions that are merely bill payments!

Will keep an eye on the card statements, I guess: as long as they continue showing "EBP", I guess it's okay, but something to keep in mind for people who might be applying for a loan or something soon and who have to turn over transaction history/card statements, if that longer name is appearing on theirs!

After a Pandora’s box of mistakes, missed payments, website crash, ‘rejection’ of 2 of my cc and my many phone calls and emails to ebp, I cancelled my account. Now thinking I may investigate them again.
