RewardPay Alternatives

Oh bummer!
I sent an enquiry saying if its ok to use them, and they said its fine.

What's the reason they don't allow?

By all means give it a go if you have been advised it will work now, but they weren’t accepted when I last tried, probably 2-3 months ago. Don’t recall the exact error message, just that I had tried Only1, CGMC and Vanilla VISA and all 3 struck out.

Might need to investigate further

It seems Commbank is cracking down point of interaction payment, the latest statement shows below:

Effective 1 July 2019, transactions, including money transfers, made through Western Union and simila merchants (with a Merchant Category Code 6540) will be treated as cash advances.
CommBank considers these transactions to be cash equivalent and a cash advance fee (see above) and the cash advance rate will apply.

Does this merchant category code apply to EBP?

. From my experience with CGMC a pre with was done as usual but the pre with was not cancelled leading to your card being charged for the same . Any one else has a different experience ?
