I have 2, the GoAnywhere (aka Baby Weber) and a kettle. Both charcoal. We take the Baby Weber on holidays now, today it's going to be grilled lobster tails (pic from last year below) and whole Snapper for Christmas.I have 2 One gas, one charcoal.

The Webers have been great, best charcoal chicken and very easy and quick to do.

I am slowly getting rid of all gas appliances. My Smeg induction cooktop is terrific. I had to get a 700mm one due to the space so my choices were limited, but very happy. We are stuck with electric as no gas to individual apartments - the hot water is gas but that is a building wide thing on the roof. At least the Miele are good and I like the induction cooktop (even though MrLtL hates it).
Having had induction and gas, give me induction any day. Unfortunately both our houses have gas.I am slowly getting rid of all gas appliances. My Smeg induction cooktop is terrific. I had to get a 700mm one due to the space so my choices were limited, but very happy.
Interesting I would be very happy to have my gas cooktop back instead of induction. My place doesn't have gasHaving had induction and gas, give me induction any day. Unfortunately both our houses have gas.

I pop out side and use the wok burner on the Weber!! No smoke in house too!I've never has induction, but biggest issue I see is using a proper wok. I do like the clean look of induction though.
I've always had gas and when I moved in I had an ceramic cooktop that I just hated - it took forever and was not very sensitive. I ripped that out and put in an induction. The ceramic was 15 years old so not sure what the new ones are likeAnyone out there who has induction able to give quick pros/cons about their experience? Only electric at new place and making decisions re induction/standard electric cooktop… thanks in advance
As previously posted I have the wok burner covered via my Weber outside the kitchen
Just to add to the pro-induction comments...Thankyou to everyone who assisted with first hand induction /std electric cooktop knowledge. I will investigate the cookware suitable for induction. If I need to sear/wok/access ferocious heat I’ll use the Weber I plan to install just outside the kitchen door
thanks again
but if the gas hadn't been left on and I put the plastic bowl on top then I wouldn't have met all those hunky fireman that came to visitJust to add to the pro-induction comments...
My induction cooktop has a timer that shuts it off. Try doing that with gas.
