Aaaah! I want to avoid as current ovens /cook top gas are smeg and big fail☹️
Try Gaggenau. Expensive but fabulous! Our oven and gas/electric cooktops have been excellent performers for some 20 years plus now. Thinking of upgrading cooktops to new gas wok burner and induction set.

Our smeg microwave died very quickly so replaced with a much more reliable Panasonic.
Yes
I mentioned several posts ago I have two smeg ovens (one of which has had 6 service calls since bought). Now I don’t use as I use the steam/conventional 2nd oven. Didn’t mention the cooktop (Smeg gas) has had a similar number with piezo that never worked X1

What the best air fryer? Not yet convinced but under discussion.
I have a love hate with them. I think they are good if avoiding cooking fats. Phillips seem to be good standard. They can create smoke to those who are sensitive. I'm not but partner who needs sinus surgery (thanks Covid, elective surgery stopped) knows when I've been using it. They certainly crisp up reheated pizzas. Fried chicken is good. Don't use it for much else tbh as I prefer the bbq. There are plenty of dedicated FB recipe pages.

Update:
I have purchased the ovens and fridge
Ovens - triple treat from Miele all of which becomes a sleek tower of stainless steel gourmet delight. Bought steam/convection oven plus main Pyrrolytic oven plus plate warmibig draw. good discounts for three items
- LG fridge massive double door with ice and water dispenser (Deliberately not plumbed)

Note - if you plan to buy appliances get.in.now. There are severe supply chain impacts .95% of fridges had blue dot (sold out and on back order). All Samsung in this category
2/3 of my Miele oven stack in stock but waiting on steam oven! June is next delivery

Why not plumb the frig ?
Our current frig is plumbed and has been trouble free ( filter is at source, not behind the frig)
Looked at new fridges t'other day.. pretty ordinary selection I thought..but could see no value in filling up a water container.
What am I missing?
Our Miele order was quite messy with dates promised and then withdrawn.
The new build is running late so the appliance order is all now ok, save for the dishwasher.

House is complex and plumbing wont be straightforward. easier this way. Current samsung plumbed but that was in new build and easy to fit.
Miele - two items in stock now/Hopefully hassle free

I bought the Mistral from Woolworths for $39 just to try it out and I'm very happy with it for some things. It's great if I want to do a few vegetables - unless this one dies I probably won't upgrade but if it does I will get another one

We have just bought a Siemens pyrolytic oven to replace our 14 year old Electrolux oven which has never cooked at the 'right' temperature. We always had to set it at least 20 degrees warmer than the recommended heat even though it was fan forced. The door also caused problems.

We bought the oven from Appliances Online during the Boxing Day sales. Appliances Online is part of the Winning Appliances group and we looked at the oven at Winning and decided to let them match the price as they claim to do. They wouldn't get less than 25 % dearer than the online price and I couldn't be bothered arguing about their price claims. The amusing part is that the oven came from local Winning stock and was delivered by their drivers. There was a two week delay in delivery which was of no concern to us.

how does that go at grilling sausages or cooking veg

Sausages still go on the BBQ outside. It's been brilliant for roast veg. Realistically we can get the same result out of our 900mm fan forced oven, but the airfryer heats up in a couple minutes vs 10-15 and cooks a a little faster and uses less electricity. We did get perfectly cooked chicken kiev in 12 minutes the other day.

Until I get my shutters installed my BBQ is in full sun on the veranda so looking for something inside. I'd not heard of it before but might do some research

So cooking on the BBQ. We have a Weber. Currently I use a Teflon piece on the grill for things like steak but wondering how many just do the direct grill for meats like steak and sausages because I do prefer the true char flavour. And lid open or closed.

Steak is currently reverse seared on Weber. Lid closed.

With a gas Weber Q I like everyday steak directly on the grill with the lid closed

with a charcoal Weber kettle I like big steaks reverse seared with indirect heat and smoke until the internal temp is ~10 to 12 deg c below what I want (lid on) then move it over the coals to finish it off (lid off)
