With everyone discussing their favourite mixers, I can show mine.

This year I upgraded from my old mixer (18 years old but still going strong) to a new model with more modern features. 18 years ago, paid around $14K for this one (Yamaha LS9-32):

And replaced it a few months back with this one for around $8K (Allen & Heath SQ7):

but had to build my own road case for it.
Im sure if I show this to Mr Denali he would be very impressed!

Enjoy!

For impressive, this is my all-time favourite to operate. Spent many hours sitting behind this beast (Midas XL8). But alas, was way waaaaay outside my budget to own. And now completely obsolete!! This pic from a theatre performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (2015).

And if the show was a little slow/boring, I could watch something interesting on one of the 5 displays :) - photo from November 2012. Can't remember which team was touring Australia then.

Now that is one very expensive TV for watching the cricket :).

Does that quality as a mixer?

I think its been 25yrs since Mr Denali bought me a box gift for Chrissy, we usually go on holidays for Chrissy and thats our gift to us but this year he got me a new house so I was lowering my expectations but....

I think this will set a new standard for Christmas expectations. What colour did you order?

Does the machine fit KA fittings? The beater blade is what I like to use, it swipes the sides down

The new Aldi mixer has similar blade and this is the one I used yesterday to mix the butter/sugar/eggs, but without the rubber edges. It is a cheap casting. The other 2 blades; one is like a whisk, the other a dough hook.

Mine has traditional beaters, I like being able to see what is happening due to glass bowls and open top.

Doesn't anyone else use a Kenwood mixer these days? Our first one, with a white ceramic bowl, lasted over 40 years until our daughter dropped it on a tiled floor. I replaced it with a new one and it works fine.

I love this so much

No PA system here (only mix in the box) but finally setting up some instruments myself after they spent a long time in a box. Wonder how many musos we have on AFF!

We do. It has a chrome bowl.

I had one that was over 40 years old and loved it. The bit where the beaters went in broke and I rang Kenwood and they wouldn't even look at it. I bought a new one and friend that is a handyman fixed my old one in 30 minutes and it's still going strong. I am still annoyed that I believed Kenwood that there were no parts available to repair it
