With everyone discussing their favourite mixers, I can show mine.

This year I upgraded from my old mixer (18 years old but still going strong) to a new model with more modern features. 18 years ago, paid around $14K for this one (Yamaha LS9-32):

And replaced it a few months back with this one for around $8K (Allen & Heath SQ7):

but had to build my own road case for it.

Im sure if I show this to Mr Denali he would be very impressed!

For impressive, this is my all-time favourite to operate. Spent many hours sitting behind this beast (Midas XL8). But alas, was way waaaaay outside my budget to own. And now completely obsolete!! This pic from a theatre performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (2015).


And if the show was a little slow/boring, I could watch something interesting on one of the 5 displays - photo from November 2012. Can't remember which team was touring Australia then.

Now that is one very expensive TV for watching the cricket .

Does that quality as a mixer?
