I find it easy but I have a new cordless stick, as the corded one was annoying me
Most powder/liquid only mixes you could get away with spoon stir but I like using the stick as I make a couple at once. Like I made my pineapple mix for slushy and a mango mix tonight so need a blender for that as the fruit pieces were large
I guess if the fruit pieces were small enough or crushed, you just put in the container and freeze
Anyone have opinions re Zip hydrotaps for residential applications

I almost exclusively drink water (and red wine ) and loved the zip tap in the family home I've grown up in. The instant boiling water is a total luxury, making it hard to go back to kettles. Be warned though, the ongoing service expenses add up. I believe annual services are recommended, but then we had one of the older taps, and they eventually jacked up the servicing rates on the older taps and forced us onto a service plan. That has now expired and the tap ultimately died a couple of years ago, although to be fair it did last around 14 years.
I've tossed up installing one in the apartment I'm renovating, but the cost is just too high for the moment. Plumbing and electrical is in place though for a future install.
My synopsis - great if you drink a lot of water and want the convenience of instant hot water, but be prepared for the ongoing costs.
We have a zip thingy in the office. Have had a few issues with the hot water but I like the carbonate drink option. Recently had to replace a part and it was $800
Love them. Put one hot and cold unit in kitchen renovation 20 years ago and been very happy. Replaced unit some 8 years ago for new one. The newer ones also now have C02 tank for sparking.
In essence, we like ours a lot. Have “heard” some people have issues but we have had no serious issues and been very happy with ours. Self change filters every 18 months, occasional service every few years.

I spun it on slushie mode and next time I will spin it twice as it was more icy than slush but using a no sugar mix with added citrus didn't kill the machine as instructions say no diet drinks. The drink was made in the soda steam, that Mr Denali loves

I know how you feel. I bought an almost industrial size wood shredder (it's got a tow hitch) for the garden. To watch 3m of 120mm branch reduced into woodchip in 30 seconds is very, invigorating.
