Re: QF Booking Class?

So where is this summation LW? I'm anxious to read it.

As I am anxious to write it up. Have a number of time critical presentations on my desk for clients in PER due for presentation 21-23 August. They come first unfortunately. 2 down, 2 to finish.

He got so depressed he hit the Cellarmasters wines under his desk and has not been seen since
Mind reader :o - I brought home some Cellarmaster wines tonight - 8 bottles of John Duval Affinis Shiraz 2010. First one going down very well - probably too well after a hard week

Ive had two cases of that delivered recently. Can vouch for it.

Maybe the summation is embargoed until QF WP can burn a stash of points....:)

Where can 7,800 points get me?? I burnt all my previous points (52K) on a JASA to Perth.

Will get some time tomorrow afternoon hopefully

Going on this recent post could be some light at end of tunnel..

[h=2]Re: [Confirmed] QF removing [cheap] ASAs [from web booking engine Jun 26] was 10Apri[/h]
I got some ASA's over the phone for MEL-SYD return. I asked the sales attendant why they'd gone from the website. She said that Q had decided to eliminate them, but the backlash had been high so they'd be reimplementing it on the website in the next 3 months..... Ever hopeful.

Re: QF Booking Class?

When?, we are all busting to know yes or no to be back on QFF site.

Considering QF WP in another thread was not lamenting the low QFF points balance they had, I suspect things are progressing as planned and mentioned here on the thread that panicked many in the first place and ultimately proved to be on the money, which means the phone booking maybe had another four weeks to go and then there will be no way to book other than the existing methods.

I very much hope I am wrong.

I am of the same (pessimistic) bent as you, Markis10.

The question is - for a non-frivolous MASA - could you book now and then swap to another date later on: same 'U' fare, same route but different dates?

Would any T&C guru be able to shed some light on that possibility?

That, if possible, would ease the pain of missing out after the 'review' date.

Just a thought bubble from me!

You will need to request (and understand) full fare rules at the time of booking, including references to to changes, stopovers and cancellations.

True, but with PHONE-assisted MASA booking, it is rather more difficult to 'print out' the fare rules cf. to web bookings.

I had successful no-penalty MASA cancellation post June 26th, so I may take a punt on that thought bubble.

Worst case scenario is that points and $$ would be refunded in full.

...
I meant 'listen' while they read them to you.

An absolute pain I know; once booked the rules generally become availabe to you with

FWIW, domestic Business ASA's have been very strait forward with cancellations and unlimited re-validation (dates, times) at no cost. This may change and it is up to you to check each time before booking if you do not wish to take a risk.

International bookings are mainly the ones that do vary and it is important to know these rules, along any penalties. (e.g. MEL-SIN have had $331 change fees in the past.)
