Scams like these

Dropped into my server this morning, then transferred straight to my junk emails:

Our courrier was not able to deliver your parcel because nobody was present at your address.

Someone must always be present on the delivery day, to sign for receiving the parcel.

Shipping type: USPS Next Day
Box size: Large Box ( 2-5kg )
Date : Feb 6th 2017

You can reschedule the delivery over the phone, but you will have to confirm the information on the delivery invoice.
Another delivery can be arranged, by calling the number on the delivery invoice we left at your address and confirming the shipping information, including the address and tracking number.

A scanned copy of the delivery invoice can also be downloaded by visiting the USPS website: (deleted link)

In the exceptional case that a new delivery is not rescheduled in 24 hours, the shipment will be cancelled and the package will be returned to the sender.

Thanks for shipping with USPS

I can't for the life of me think why somebody in Japan (@margo.co.jp in the link details) needs to get involved in my (bogus) UPS shipment...

i don't know if this has already been covered here, However an old school chum of mine was hit with a (fake) QF satisfaction survey (Phishing scam) in the last few days, and has had to cancel CC's re do his QFF account etc.
I have attached a "partial snip" of the offending email. My virus checker picked up on it straight away.

Got scammed today and didn't even realise until I was telling the experience to my wife.

Went to currency exchange earlier today and handed over 14 x $50, 4 x $20, 4x $10 and 4x $5 notes. She handed back the $5 notes saying they do not accept them. Ok no problem. She hands me THB21,730 and I stood at counter with head down and counted the money twice.

As I am about to leave she says "Mister cannot accept this one (showing me an old and worn $50 note) do you have another one?". Stupidly without thinking handed over another $50 note from my wallet.

Back at the hotel I'm telling the story to my wife when I realised that all my $50 notes were crispy and I fell for the stupid trick. The old $50 note looks legitimate but now not confident. :(

I had a similar email recently, but I'd "won" a $1000 Coles card. The layout, language and grammar in these emails usually makes it pretty obvious they're a scam - straight into the Spam folder and hit the "Delete" button!
