Background to this thread:

In a similar vein to the "Flight Availability / Upgrade Probability Help Desk" there has an increase in the posting of questions about specific seat allocation/availability on a flight. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with such queries. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.

This new consolidated thread is where you can ask questions about seating allocation/availability. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve usability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread:

Please post questions about availability of specific seats in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, Origin, Destination, date and cabin as applicable.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Hi everyone,

Quick bit of advice, I'm on QF108 tomorrow in J and booked into 23a.

I flew over last Saturday ( 4th Feb ) an was able to pick seats in the old 1st class area, however I'm trying to do the same but I have no access in front of row 23. Is there a reason for this?

Is this one of the plans with the new fit out or is QF108 sold as 4 class?

QF107 is sold as 4 class between SYD and LAX.

3 class T/Pac routes are QF15, QF7, QF25.

Empty as in you expect seats to open up for seat selection closer to the flight?

Thanks for that. T-80 has just been booked into my calendar.

Do international flights open up at T-80 like domestic for better seating, or is it totally different?

There are certainly changes to seat availability in the week leading up to the flight.

I'd check daily, at T-80, T-48 and T-24 also.

Can someone please tell me the config on the following flights.. I had a look on seat guru and can't find any match because it seems like 69 is where the paired seats start instead of the usual 70. Just trying to find some good seats for me and my partner. Unfortunately no status. At the moment I am going for row 69 to avoid having people climb over me and as far away from the galley/toilets as possible.

It's EZE for QF17/18.

In any case, you have the new 3 class configuration with economy starting in row 43.

These newly configured aircraft indeed have the latest Qantas international Personal IFE.
