I was at Burnside Village waiting for Cibo coffee in that photo and reading AFF.
I had developed a blister as these were new. As you might know I am on blood thinners. Blister was just a white thing but a bit painful so I popped into the loo and put some tissue on the blister to give some relief from pressure. It helped so I continued to shop. As I was leaving to go home my foot felt a bit weird. I looked down and my ankle was wet with blood and it had also gone into the shoe. But worse - no tissue. Somewhere in swanky Burnside Village is a blood soaked wad of tissue. :o

So TomCat is now official ?? Congratulations. put some shellac on those nails ! And I hope that is some sort of cake there on the plate.

It was a lovely pavlova that we got for free because the waitress got very excited and almost cried.

Congratulations!

Re the shoes, I have giant size 13 but although I have lots of choices these days, I just want comfy but sadly comfy equals almost ugly these days.

Bought a pair of comfy shoes online yesterday, waiting for them to arrive to see if they will suit for flights.

Thanks everyone. We've been keeping it pretty low key.
Pushka I promise we can tell you more on Saturday.

Congratulations BC and TomV! Is this a first for AFF? Look forward to a toast on Saturday. Now I can really call you TomKat!

I can imagine the later discussion. "Which thread will we make the announcement? Off Topic? No, gets lost in the conversations. Meetings and Gatherings? Mmm. Which one? Champagne advice? Maybe. I know Shoes! I shall make a sneaky post in shoes and see what happens". For those who don't FB of course. The oldies.

Peter Sheppard has a section for large sizes and they have "comfort" but stylish shoes - have you seen their website ?

I love the Ara brand - they are super comfy - and these ones are on special !!

Young ladies learn pretty quickly how to do things left handed even if they are right handed. Congratulations blackcat20!
On the subject of shoes I think Mrscove has moved to the Arche brand for comfort. Peter Sheppard has a Melbourne store that is superior to their Sydney store.

Late to the party but congratulations!

For larger size feet - Rosenburgs in Melbourne are specialists.

Luckily I've always been pretty capable with my left hand (started out as a leftie)

I do not understand Camilla fashion. I think the clothes remind me of Bali. There is a shop at Burnside Village. My local. Today I saw two very unattractive examples of their fashion. The first was a young girl who was wearing an outfit with the handkerchief hemline. Except it went up ridiculously high in front - think almost crotch level. Now these outfits float. And not always down. It was not a good look.

The second was one of their assistants. She was wearing the play suit style, long pants and top all in one. The fabric is thin. So even this girl who had a fabulous figure was walking with a significant kind of bottom jiggle because the fabric is so sheer. Or am I just getting old?
