There is a large separate study and the bedroom/lounge area is big. Another view of the outdoor shower.

Langkawi is an amazing place, we have been there once per year for the past 3 years with a fourth visit coming. Lovely pictures you have taken, out of curiosity what camera did you use?
I can see why you would - we will definitely come back. I will now hand over to my camera person to answer your question.

The camera is a Nikon D750; most of the general shots are with a 24-120mm F4. The mangroves were with a 300mm F4D that the guide lent me. I usually use a 80-400mm but didn't bring it on this trip.

some outside shots of the villa including my day bed where I spend a great deal of time. The whole garden area in the last photo from the plunge pool to the lounges is "ours", so you feel very private.

The adult pool - 50m so good for laps and has 8 private areas, as well as more lounges near the bar. No-one under 18 allowed here.

Some sunsets although generally they haven't been good.

Lots of birds and wild life - so far we have seen masses of squirrels and tree shrews and a house shrew in the garden and yesterday a troop of spectacled Langurs came to visit the Villa

some of the restaurants - Kelapa Grill and Ikan Ikan. The grill is a mix of grilled seafood and meat, with some Malaysian, while Ikan Ikan is a Malay restaurant

So these were more grill type things, although we still tended to go for the Malaysian touch.

I haven't taken photos of breakfast buffet - quite extensive, with all the western options, plus curries and dim sum. I had a scrumptious Malaysian Roti with Dahl yesterday. Egg dishes are cooked on demand and brought to you. If anyone wants photos I am happy to take some :)

The food looks and sounds great. I love a good nasi goreng. I dream of the nasi lemak at FS Jimbaran Bay :D

There is actually another restaurant - Serai, which has an Italian theme. Mr FM has been refusing to go there, as he said it is boring. However the restaurant Manager bullied him into going tonight to the Italian buffet, so we will see. :)

Italian buffet at Serai last night. Lovely buffet with a great variety, but we felt it could have been anywhere in the world....returning to the scrumptious Malay food tonight. We probably should have tried some off resort food and definitely should have gone to a night market, but have just been very lazy. Have to leave something to do when we come back again.
