Skybus BNE Service commenced today- $15 one way fares for 50 min trip at 2 hourly intervals 0600 - midnight weekdays (8pm weekends).

Airtrain comparison - train starts 0500 weekdays (0600 weekends) and last service departs BNE 2200, around half the journey time for the same price (advance purchase).

Wary of going OT, but although the BNE Airtrain is not as frequent as it ought be, it's still way ahead of any bus for ease of movement and comfort, plus the ability to interchange at numerous stations en route and if one wanted to, travel to or from the Gold Coast including an easy connection to the G Link low floor tram to Surfers Paradise and many other stops adjacent to much of the accommodation.

Yes, Seniors from $25 return to $27 ... Anticipating this I purchased a couple last week

Sold out.

$4.75 ticket is back. Use code KLOOK15 at Placie app for $15 off a Skybus ticket.
Valid until 20 March 2022 and then tickets, I believe, are valid for 3 months.

A pain to try and use in the Placie app but once you've figured it out it's a great saving.

On another note, I still have a couple of Placie tickets that require the drivers to get their old scanners to use on the tickets. Two days ago a driver told me that they are no longer valid even though the tickets are valid until the end of March.
I contacted Skybus and they told me that the drivers should still be using the old scanners when necessary.

Note the last Klook/Skybus promo expired before the due date, probably because it has been OzBargained so I’d say better use it sooner rather than later.

A real pain. I scheduled a trip but it did not show up on scheduled trips.

I tried again and it said I already had the trip scheduled.

The other bad thing with skybus is the 3 month ticket validity seems crazy short.

While I was in Melbourne discussion on train to the airport came up and was most confident in being built.

It's going to be built. The plans are a mess in my opinion but there is absolutely zero doubt - it's being built.

Wouldn't the airport collect some ridiculously high access fee from each train ticket? I don't see why they would prevent that.

Off course. BNE and SYD airport trains cost as much as MEL Skybus.

It’s ~25 min ride to Southern Cross, how much time will a train save…
