SkyBus gone up again [Up to $23.90 one way]

There's already a "Join Rewards" option on the app. You have to create an account and then go to the Settings option. You can then flick the switch to join and then.......nothing. You have no idea what you have joined, what you need to earn, what the rewards are etc

I hadn't noticed they had their own app at last. It looks like it will make buying tickets on the run a lot quicker. At the moment it's $35 for a return through the app which is an ok price.

I had already bought 3 return tickets earlier this year and today the expiry has been extended to 1 January 2021. That's nice.

I should also have done so while it was still earning Velocity points...

It's good to see that Skybus are offering Melbourne City tickets reduced to $15 but they haven't been too helpful when I asked for an extension to my existing 10 Trip ticket. State borders were closed for nearly 5 months and Skybus have managed to extend the expiry of my ticket from 5 March 2021 to 30 March. A whole 25 days.

I was looking to use it last night but rrsrach last week showed they were only operating 6am-6pm, no good for a 7:30pm arrival.

Thanks for that info. I hadn't realised the cut off time and have confirmed that with Skybus.

Good news. After a moan with Skybus I got the expiry date on my 10 trip tickets pushed out to 30 June 2021 which is far more reasonable.

It's unlikely I'll be back in Melbourne to use the remaining trips I have on my Skybus card. It's extremely disappointing that they have decided not to extend the tickets by at least 6 months.

I'm planning to fly out of MEL on 31 December and may be able to get a ride, otherwise I can buy a ticket off you if it's transferable?

Write to them. As you can see in my last post, they extended my tickets by a few months which was helpful.

Screenshots of the QR code work just fine so just arrange something between you.

I rang Skybus and the very friendly operator gave a new deadline of the end of March. She said they will be moving to a new ticketing system in April and I'd be most likely be able to carry over the trips. So I'm pretty happy with that as I had 7 trips left.

"new ticketing system" = higher prices?

Hours extended...

"Melbourne City Express now 4.30am to midnight

With airport activity increasing by the day, our Melbourne City Express will operate from 4.30am to midnight, 7 days a week from this Sunday 20 December.

That’s right! Fast, frequent and $15 summer fares – and now longer hours of operation."

Avalon back too.
