So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

If the super does not stretch to the F-Type there is always the Toyota86 GTS (except no AWD)
That’s possibly the only time in history that those two cars have been mentioned in the same sentence.

Z4? BMW used to be home of the RWD until the Mini arrived
BMW still seem to be in the 20 plus year process of getting over Chris Bangle. Their current infatuation with huge nostrils isn’t appealing.

OK - I take delivery of the newbie tomorrow afternoon.

Now to find somewhere I can drive to, given the regional restrictions in WA...o_O

Fortunately, my son with his business in the Goldfields, and me already having authority to work in his highly-regulated industry, can get me added to his authorised travel list. :)

He's driving back to Perth tomorrow for a two-week break. Two weeks from now, I should be getting bush - at a PERfect time of the year in the WA Goldfields. And those two weeks will give me nice time to get the vehicle set up.

Woo-hoo! Not quite the QR QSuites ride CBR-DOH and onwards into central/eastern Europe that I had lined up for 1 May, but better than lock-down in the city.

Happy days! Can't wait. ;):)

I’m finding the “comfort” setting to be too soft on the Passat Alltrack wagon dynamic chassis control - just a fancy word for active suspension damping. Tilts more around corners and wallows when braking.
The “normal” is a little better but still too soft, and the “sport” is what I would call “Comfort”

Maybe I should show you the Rego & Insurance bills for the cars 😂
It's only money, can't take it with you. My toy isn't registered atm as can't go driving into the police state (NSW).
There's a car I'd like to take a look at but its in QLD, and the border guards are a bit gung ho.

Premium diesel! LOL. Indeed. Like $200 speaker cables!

Off topic...but I was once in a HN store, where they had two sound setups. One with the expensive cables, and 'another' for you to compare it with. Looking at their setup, and yes, they had some cheaper cables connected to the second system, but they had actually selected it to use the RCA connection, and not the like for like. Fixed it for them.

Oh I dreamed of one too. I wanted the GT4 version.

I had a 96 MR2. The GT4 engine was available in that overseas, but sadly not here. That would have been interesting.

And it is time for a service . I need work on the A/C as well.

My Porsche needs a 12 month service too but its only done 1200k since the last so not too concerned. More a case of remembering to put the battery charger/conditioner on once a month or so.
Unfortunately my service is located over the border so I suppose it will have to wait for a while. Expecting to do an oil and filter change and biennial brake fluid flush.
Little black shopping trolley (WRX) has been having a forced rest too and will need a minimal interim service too at 47000km - 2400k in the last 12 months.
At least with this usage tyres last well.
