Im guessing by your reply, you'd probably already know, the USA version of the Brumby, the Brat, you could get 2 "Jump Seats" in the back. Would love to do the same here.
The seat in the photo, is the drivers seat of the Cougar, I needed to get under the dash to check and fix some wiring, and my old body cant twist like it used to :P
 
Well, my doesn't-miss-a-beat Mazda CX5 has decided to throw up iStop errors. Turns out it means the battery is failing and time to replace - my model is a 2014 so in all honesty it's probably the original battery.

Shocking part was because of the iStop (which I actually turn off) the battery is $390! Luckily, I don't use that feature so nifty Dad the retired mechanic will disconnect it and install a new battery for $166. Much more palatable!

In qld..only drive it to sanctioned club events or for test and maintenance.
I assumed that meant I could drive it down to Bunnings (10k) just to give it a run..

Thats the NSW scheme, which i quite like,

Here in Qld, with the SIVS ( Special Interest Vehicle Concession Scheme ) its ok,
Apart from driving to any club event, or any posted other club event/ family wedding/formal, you can drive to any repair shop for work, and with 15km radius of home for road testing but this is currently under review to increase the distance,
So i get to road test my vehicles most weekends to keep all the fluids moving etc.
 
We are buying a coffin (Unit) in a complex under construction.
One curly question was if they would/could provide one or more charging points.
Like it or not, I expect we will be forced into battery cars with some kind of a carrot /stick process.

I see it as a hard question for a developer.. no current incentive and no present demand , yet the future is coming.
Even one metered outlet probably costs a few grand to build with no certainty of repayment.
I expect the answer is going to be that I must pay for an outlet in my car park spaces.

Swmbo is probably a perfect prospective ev owner, only ever doing short runs, I find it unpalatable
to forgo my capacity to drive anywhere anytime so will continue grind along with Rudolf clattering away.

I can't answer your question about living in a unit I'm afraid, not something I've done but you might want to run it past the body corp and see what they say

But I certainly haven't foregone my ability to drive anywhere anytime ;) I've driven more now than I ever did before.
 
So had anyone got any more info new car purchases in Australia will have a SET PRICE come July.
Is it better to attempt to buy before set price?
