So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

For those who have a fondness for classic English cars this very recent video will certainly interest you. It records the recovery of a number of 1950's -70's 'barn find' cars. The first car shown is a very rough early 1950's Land Rover but then you see several E Type Jags also in pretty rough condition. But the cream of the cars shown so far is a open top 1959 2 litre AC Ace. They have also shown in passing a 1955 AC Aceca 1957 Bristol Engine AC.

had a KIA Sportage last week as a rental
Increasingly car rental companies are adding EV to their fleet

Speaking of EV:
1 month + 4 days of driving. 1800km
$11. Free charging at local shopping centre while I do the shop and also at work via a 10amp outlet in the parking area (permission obtained). And solar (blue) which is the $11 (priced at the feed in Tariff)

But no spare tyre😳

no one has spare tyrfes any more! Either run flats or tyre sealer inflation kit.

Now what to do if your car goes flat and you have to try to use the inflation kit plugged into the battery :)

EV is flat
🤣. Just charge it before it goes flat?🤣

EV have done trips driving around Australia👍

I'm planning a road trip to Melbourne
900km
Leave home with 70% charge
100 minutes of stop/charge at Goulburn/Jugiong/Wodonga/Euroa
Arrive Flinders St with 20% charge

(Food is better in Jugiong than the Gundagai dog on tucker box stop)

Sad day in my household today, my beloved 4x4 turbo diesel dual cab has gone to a new home. It sold for than I expected (I had priced it high end) and quicker than I thought it would. Now it is time to hurry up and wait for the new wagon to arrive at the dealership.

How did you determine asking price?
I started with what the dealer offered which was low ball and I new they would be looking for a quick flip and would not keep the vehicle for their second hand yard. I also spoke with an agent at Auto Flip and they gave me an indication of what they thought they could get for it which was around $5K higher than what the dealer offered. A search on carsales, cars guide etc. indicated what the expected purchase price for private sale would be and provided a range. I am assuming the range is based on the info you provide and KM travelled as they do state it does not include accessories, aftermarket add ons etc. When placing the add I just added $4k to the suggested range which was 1K less than most vehicles with similar kit.

I sold my X7 last month as the lease expired. My new wheels are currently on a ship somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
I’m driving my girls beep beep Barina meantime.
