I've got a second-gen (NB) Mazda MX-5, bought new in 2001 and still going strong - very low mileage, great condition, and I plan to keep it for many years yet. Will ideally replace with an electric roadster, but let's see what's on the market when the time comes.

Not my car, but today on my morning push bike ride I passed a very good "daily driver' 1969/70 Holden Kingswood Station Wagon - with bucket seats. Holden HT - Wikipedia As I was admiring it the owners came out from the house opposite where it was parked. They were both in their mid to late 80's. I reckon he probably bought it as his retirement car and been driving it ever since! It passed me a few minutes later purring along very quietly.
Ahh, the comfy model. My HT Kingswood wagon had the bench seat at the front, to go with the three-on-the-three gear shift. On cross ply tyres, on a wet day in Melbourne, on the tram tracks, it was a challenge to stop/steer.

Hey GPH .. did one of those concours cars attach itself to your wallet ?
I called in but five minutes later it absolutely bucketed down so a very quick lap and I was out.
I am not really an MG fan but the old supercharged cars (one PB and one TC ?) would have been real weapons in their day.

I wish, Mrs GPH was in love with some of the MGA’s. I was there when you were, left after the bucketing myself. Went the next day to the Hillclimb , that looks like fun, a bit of work needed on the “B” to get it track ready though. I ended up missing the motorkhana the next day .

What a weekend. 4 days in a row I washed & blow dried my hair to attend the MG functions. 4 times we were drenched.

Definition of an old roaster:
1. Cold, wet, bedraggled & totally awesome!

I wouldn't mind a Jaguar I-Pace....but sadly the pay cheque doesn't come in as often as it did.

I quite like the look of the I-Pace. It's probably the first production EV after a Tesla that actually doesn't go out of its way to look freakish/overly-futuristic. It's a shame that its efficiency is so bad for its on-paper specs, which is sorta important when it comes to an EV.

@GPH was going to send these via PM but could not attach pics. When we caught up in ADL I said I provide some pics of the old girls, one is 91 the other 71. Today got to visit the girls both are a bit dirty as the covers have been on for over 12 months. The red one is a WIP, the grey one is a runner however the battery is flat and fuel has gone south.

I am in awe of your cars. BUT you need to drive the Grey one. They don’t like sitting still.
I would love to see them in person.
I am a fan of the Riley brand.
