So, what music are you listening to now?

Not listening to them just yet but yesterday I ordered some vinyl from Sanity during their 20% off sale which is still on. Very reasonable postage too.
Now waiting for Led Zeppelin and Amy Winehouse to arrive.

Better get in some good cheap Scotch for those! :) :)

Digging through the collection this afternoon, after reading a great piece in the New York Times on Dad Rock https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/14/...tter-dad-rock.html?smid=nytcore-android-share

The stains on the cover happened when I was moving house from Perth to Alice Springs in the mid 80s up the old Stuart Highway. A bottle of liqueur muscat escaped its box and dropped into the record collection.
(Currently watching the Darwin Super Car races with the sound turned off).

I think the Scotch is best saved for when I play my AC DC records 😂
I'm sitting on the beach, drinkin' rocket fuels, oh, yeah!
I spent the whole night, breakin' all the rules, oh, yeah!
I'm mending every minute of the day before
Watching the ocean, watching the shore
Watching the sunrise, and thinkin' there could never be more
Will never be more, yeah
Well, anytime you want to find me
I don't have a telephone
I'm another world away
But I always feel at home, with my

Cheap wine and a three day growth
A cheap wine and a three day growth
Oh, come on, come on, come on

Every rally I have been to where red bull has had their vehicle pumping out music has had Acca Dacca playing, loud and often!

One place I asked if they had any Midnight Oil, alas no.

Curious to know if all these reissues that are appearing on long format recordings are original analogue pressings, or remastered from digital copies.

If they are digital, sort of defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?

Anyway of course ymmv, and my ears are probably past being able to tell any difference. :)

I've only have 2 AC DC on vinyl.

Let There Be Rock is an original Blue Roo record, Back in Black is a reissue but again not sure if it's remastered.

Belated post. MrsK and I went to the Led Zeppelin IV performance on Sunday, and it was brilliant.
More than playing covers, the band really launched into it, covering the tracks on the album, plus several other songs that they loved growing up to
I think about 90% of the audience would have been around when the album was first released.
