My recent buys include
Majella Sparkling Shiraz 2010/2012 $25/$23 (My Cellars and Direct)
Grampians Estate Rutherford Sparkling Shiraz 2014 $35 (direct, via Just Wines for free freight on a 6-pack)
Ashton Hills SS 2010 $41 (direct)
Bests SS 2014 $30 (Nicks)
Leasingham CC SS 2006 $37 (DM ebay special)
Mitchell Peppertree SS NV $23 (eBay/Graysonline)
and one at the cheaper end
Patritti Sparkling Shiraz NV $16 less 10% and free freight on dozens, it's got great fruit and excellent mouthfeel, finishes a bit drier. Similar class to Seppelt Original 2014, slightly richer style. I put it in a recent tasting group flight of sparkling reds and they liked it enough to put in a new order of 6 dozen to share. Discovered by one of my Forum members on a cellar door visit, it's isn't in their online store. To order, call the friendly Jo at their CD:

Thank you for your email. Yes, we certainly do sell the Blewitt Springs Estate Sparkling Shiraz in the Cellar Door, and it retails for $16 a bottle. I would suggest the easiest way to order would be to contact us here at the Cellar Door and we can process the order with you over the phone and arrange delivery, Ph: (08)82968261. In addition, if you are a Cellar Door member, we can offer 10% off any purchase of the Sparkling Shiraz (or we can join you up over the phone when you make your order).

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on the above phone number.

Kind regards,
Jo

I love the 2009, but wasn't overly taken by the 2010 - maybe it was just a bad bottle?

The 2010 Ashton Hills is a touch leaner than 2009.
I did a vertical 2002/2005/2006/2008/2009/2010 in November, the group ranking had the 2010/2005/2008 a single point (weighted aggregate) apart, then 2002/2009/2006. My ranking was 2002/2008/2010/2009/2006/2005.

My last 2002 tried last week was corked, Ashton Hills / Wirra Wirra are sending a current vintage replacement.

It might be too late now, my subscribers have been all over this the last couple of weeks and it has come back from "sold out" at least 3 times now, but currently unavailable again.
Secret Selections McLaren Vale Sparkling Shiraz NV
it's this
Rose Kentish Sparkling Shiraz NV
probably stocks of Ulithorne Flamma from when it was sold a while back.
Under diam cork, latest delivery has been under crown seal.

Hi all, this is half related to this topic, i want to get a bottle of primo estate joseph sparkling red around sydney cbd area or even south east side suburbs, anyone here know who stocks this wine around this areas?

thanks in advance.

thanks red, wine square is more ideal for me , but where did you get the address from?on their website it is showing forest lodge pyrmont bridge road .

Their home base used to be
60 Darling St, Balmain East
No idea if it still is, give them a call.

they only do delivery for online orders, change my game to a "seppelt origianl sparkling shiraz" at dan murphy, at least i know there is stock.

Haven't seen the Hentley Farm Black Beauty mentioned yet so will put that forward. Had the 2010 on Christmas Day and it was a cracker. It is about $60 a bottle from memory.

That's a lot cheaper, but not all that exciting in comparison to the Joseph. The latest move by Seppelt is to make the "Original" into a non-vintage, the NV bottle I tried last week was fairly ordinary, I prefer the cheaper Patritti mentioned above.

It's a nice package, but you need to find someone on the highest membership level to make it affordable/value.
I hear Leasingham Classic Clare to be no longer produced.
