SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Not wanting to one-up anyone, but this may be food for thought.
I have 4 saver redemptions and 1 standard on SQ J in September for a family holiday.

Is there an official AFF record? Cruiser, surely you'd know the theoretical maximum? (And I apologise if I offend you by suggesting you'd know anything outside of Suites.....)
Regards,
Peter

Well done Peter! No way is it one upmanship just all of us passing on our experiences to help others.

I thought I was lucky getting 3 J savers but goes to show what we can get if we try. Brisbane must be a good chance of J saver redemptions at the moment as we go to 4 flights a day from June 3 days a week. The additional flight is at 18.00. Unfortunately it is still the A330.

I have 4 J saver redemptions on same flight booked from LAX to PER in Jan 2016, previously have done 3 J savers + 1 J booked through Lifemiles on the same flight- PER to LHR.

Hi guys,

Just picking seats for my wife and I on our Singapore to Zurich flight. First time in SQ A380 J. I've read that the bulkhead seats are the best way to go for the extra leg room. I have 11DF, 18DF or 91DF available to me. Unfortunately I can't select 96DF due to it being bassinet seats, which seems to be the best pick according to reviews. At the moment I'm leaning towards 91DF. Bulkhead, pair of seats together, smallish cabin and if anything should be a bit emptier given they normally fill from the front. Would anyone recommend a different selection?

Thanks,

David

What I did was do 2 saver suites + 3 saver Js on the same flight syd - sin - pvg

the flight is mid december so still a while away. Its booked for my wife and the youngest to be in suites and me with the 6yr old and 7 yr old to be in J. Could end up with me going to suites + either the 6 or 7 yr old if the youngest is causing trouble and wants to be with a sibling.
Wasn't planning for the parents to be up front and the kids to be in J, if they were over 12 then that would be definitely what we'd be aiming for.

Here are the reds offered on SIN-PVG Sun and ret PVG-SIN Tue - the Chianti and the Bordeaux were spectacular - the Burgundy - nah not this little black duck:

Did I hear that somebody passed over the PH Rare for Chablis - good grief - who left the asylum unlocked?

As for those CX Wing / Pier lovers - how is the std Veuve there nowadays? And that Peninsular champs - good drop that huh?

infinity? You still chowing down on lobster for brekky in TPR? I had the eggs benedict there again last Sun - OMG they do them well. And don't forget the chefs are more than happy to knock you up any omelette you want for brekky - indeed any eggs / bacon / ham / sausage combo you want - don't be restricted by menu - you want - you ask - you get if humanly possible.

Better news still is that Muhommed is back behind bar in SKL F in T3 - he is a legend - get him talking sport - he is a walking encyclopedia - esp boxing and soccer.

Now I gotta wait another 3 weeks before Oz-Euro F/R/R/F - counting down the hours already!

CE the Chateau Pichon Comptesse le Lande is my favourite Bordeau (red) on any airline in F in the world.

Yum Yum.

Won't be in R till 5 July SYD/CDG so will hit the mutiple lobster serves in TPR for sure ;)

Been a long time between drinks in TPR ( Since March) but have a year 12 child this year which means a tad less travel, nah....

Still have

Ayres Rock in a few weeks with KPC
Paris/Croatia- July
Rio for Olympics - August
Cape Town in November
Chile/Argentina December
Bahmas/Cuba December/January
Japan for a ski in February
South Africa in April

I guess someone has to keep the airlines and chmapagne houses afloat ;)

Are these individual trips or part of a larger travel plan?

Anybody flown R on 308 lately? cove? How about meal sequence? Breakfast after 09:05 dep will be right Royal PITA following brekky in TPR - then lunch pre arr at 15:40 makes sense - we usually take 322 to LHR so this is going to be a change.

Jeez Cruiser, have another champers, it will all go back to normal. ;)

Yes we did 2 runs to LHR in the last 12 weeks on SQ308. We are now switching between 2A and 3A depending on who I click for a seat first. Yes overnight in Crowne Plaza and then TPR for breakfast works really great.
Mrscove went a fruit plate on board for something to do and I went the Krug for something to do. I used 4A for lunch as they made 3A into my bedroom.
