SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I don't recall the lobster thermidor being available in the TPR. Satay sticks were. As the others have said, they're not big servings so you'll be fine.

Hey guys, here's some snaps of the TPR menu if you're still interested. These pics were taken on 4 June.

Sorry about the coughpy quality.

I did notice that you had a picture with your legs crossed blackcat20. A doctor on this forum may explain why this is not a good idea on long haul flights. I know both my GP and cardiologist would warn me about ever doing this but I would not be the best person to explain the reasons.
I have enjoyed your travel thread and one day I might think about a photo but others do it so well so no reason to start.

I don't fly with them crossed, I'm a side sleeper so its pretty impossible.

I ordered an 8oz Rib Eye - was so tough it was like chewing the sole of a gum boot - dispatched that back to galley and had Lamb Loin which was beautiful.

We spent about 3hrs in *A Senator Lounge in FRA yesterday - I had the best shower I have ever had in my life in that lounge. Such a huge flow of water from shower head in roof - soap dispensers on wall that actually worked perfectly - easily ajustable flick mixer - shower base drained perfectly - huge soft towels - toilet actually in the shower room - you know most of the points that TPR misses.

CE - was it not cooked the way you asked it to be?
separately, how is your general experience in sending food back in F/R? are the FAs generally apologetic and wanting to cause no issues etc?

It was just greatly overcooked and just a tough piece of meat. Cabin Crew were just grossly apologetic - was no biggie - seldom do I ever worry about BTC as I usually find something on menu that takes my fancy. On flt SIN-LHR 3 wks ago we both thought offerings were really ordinary - so decided to BTC. The Ette said her Lobster perfect - my steak just terrible - was zero prob reverting to standard menu of day. There will never ever be a prob sending food back in R/F - you are king or queen in that cabin - crew will bend over backwards to make you feel special and accomodate you in any way.

Long live the king and queen!
We had a lamb that was mutton but that was a once only. The French red was a big help.

I actually thought the French Red last night was ordinary - the Clonakilla O'Riada Shiraz did the job but.

And devastated by by what confronts me at TPR this morn:

Gone are are the small 200ml bottles Perrier - this week they have been replaced by cans - I hate change!
