SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

CE I had the same problems with TPR a couple of weeks ago. No bordeaux red and they ran out of lobster!

Sent the coughing email to SQ and feedback was as follows

We are truly sorry to learn that no Bordeaux red wine was provided at the SilverKris lounge when travellingfrom Sydney on 5 July 2016 as well as when you travelled with us earlier this year. Furthermore, we very muchregret that you also could not have lobster dish while using our lounge as you wished to. Please accept ourrenewed apologies for the disappointment you mentioned.
We can fully appreciate your dissatisfaction, however, we would like to explain that the meal and beverageoptions offered in our lounges and on board our flights are based on past experience of the demand.Nevertheless, we wish to assure you that all feedback such as this is used collectively to assist with reviewingthe meals and beverages offered by Singapore Airlines. As such, your feedback has been shared with ourFood and Beverage Manager for their review and necessary actions.

No compensation offered ( say in points) so maybe the TPR is on the way down??????

Never would be looking for compensation - I think that is over the top - but I was just shocked when they showed me the bottle they were going to pour from.

I will send off some feedback when I get a chance

I have had points offered as compensation when things were not to standard in R/F before when flying.

I raised the issue by the same method

How is this for a tale of woe? As of yesterday July 24 std Champers in TPR and SKL F is Taittinger NV! OMFG! Shades of QF / CX / EK - good grief - serious feedback with lots colourful language heading SAA_Feedback way morrow - this is just not how God planned things!

I had my first ever trip on SQ F on Tuesday this week and was very much looking forward to trying the Piper in TPR. Missed it by two days! But I wasn't that impressed with TPR. The champagne situation didn't help but there was water leaking from the room onto a few of the chairs and the overall ambience wasn't that special. The F lounge was just as nice IMO, and I was able to watch a bit of sport and bring in a guest to share the experience with me.

Yeah - the camp is divided on TPR. There are some who absolutely love it. Others see it as a fairly 'bland' lounge - good for quiet and privacy but not much else happening there.

I get a nice laugh everytime I read this thread. Thanks Cruiser. You're a legend.
Word is you are not difficult to amuse Johnny but tks for your kind words anyway. :D

But back to Champagne - who knows Johnny you may just grow up one day and start to appreciate a good drop of bubbles - we live in hope. ;)

Best I leave the appreciation of wine and champagne to the experts.

I have been chosen for a much more important assignment. All will be revealed soon.

P.S. Have 4 SQ flights next week. Spend the night in T2 KrisFlyer Gold lounge again? Looking forward to the $40 in Changi dollars.
