Just wondering if it is possible to book a rewards seat for an adult and an infant with krisflyer points? When I go to book it on the app, the infant selection is greyed off. Is this a restriction with krisflyer?

You need to book the adult seat online and then call up and add the infant - you cannot book the infant ticket online. SQ charge 10% of revenue ticket for an infant award.

Unless it has changedBTC does not offera lot re breakfast choices.

PS: They had hot breakfast, fruit, pastries, toast etc.....but I just felt like cereal and yoghurt and was not that hungry.

I normally get a Lobster as BTC, and have it as breakfast instead of late supper for shortish overnight flights (e.g. SQ231 SIN-SYD).

if you are booking in J then i advise you to book a return adult ticket instead of 2 singles otherwise the taxes will hurt really badly.. like $600+aud one way for the infant

This is one area where QFF is the best: Infant award is 0 points + taxes when redeemed with adult award for all OneWorld and partners flights. Try to use QFF points if you have enough .....

I have never done this but have heard quite a few who have claimed to do so - usually plenty meals loaded but this kind of action kinda goes against the whole BTC concept doesn't it?

Not if you eat both of the meals. ;)

Yeah I would love to see someone eat every course of a full meal service PLUS 1 extra main course.

done this. multiple times. sometimes the BTC suck and so I try the a la carte, save the BTC for a different food service etc.

what's everyones thoughts on SQ dessert offerings? i'm in the thoroughly underwhelmed camp. rock solid ice cream (surely they can see this when they serve it up?) to a chocolate fondant that came out at room temperature (when we heat it up, it falls apart... well no s*** sherlock)

Have you had any of these Cruiser Elite?
Actually I have - but only ever beef burger - only time I ever BTC nowadays is early morning flt ex SIN after bfast in TPR - in most cases dep before 09:00 sees bfast or brunch as first main meal offering - 802 to PEK dep 08:40 see brunch offered - cereal / eggs etc - I just order beef burger and ask it be served after midday - not full lunch meal service as the BTC is main course only - so they can still only offer fruit / cereal yoghurt etc before main course.

Thanks for that. I think I will just order breakfast off the menu. I'll eat in the silver KF lounge and then see what I feel like on flight to BNE.

Hi all, any tips for earning bucketloads of KF miles?

I've been able to get plenty of AMEX MR points, credit card points (usually go to VFF then transferred to KF), krisspree shop or whatever it's called. Any other good earners out there ? I doubt I'll be doing much if any paid flying on SQ.

Are you converting MR > VA > SQ? if so you are loosing value doing it this way.

MR > SQ is an option and saves you the 1.35 conversion rate from VA > SQ

Best way to get SQ points is credit card sign ups with AMEX then transfer across to SQ

I've just flown HKG - SYD via CX J and I must say their J lounge( the pier) is much better and less crowded than SQ's First class/J lounge at T3, and more importantly they have Haagen Daz ice cream .

Still prefer the J seats on SQ though..

And remind me again what Champagne CX serve in their F lounges? And in the J cabins to SYD / MEL?

Cx doesnt do F for hkg- syd so i didnt have access to the F lounge. Also i am 2 years sober so i avoid looking at those lists.

The pier had a dedicated bar section + seating area and it looked well stocked of spirits and whisky as i was walking past.
