SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Id did this once as I did BTC, but on the day much preferred what was on offer. As the dish was available they let me swap.

However food choices can and do run out, for while they do have more food than passengers it can be tested if too many passengers choose before you the course that you want. One time all I wanted for breakfast in J was just cereal and yoghurt, and they evidently ask myself near last and I was told that they had none available. I really did not feel like any of the hot options etc and so I just said that I would eat after I landed. Later on they brought me some as it was not all consumed in F and so they said I could have that.

See I cant eat cereal (its makes me vomit) so Id want to be sure there was a non-cereal dish on the menu....so BTC might be a safer option for me.

I went with BTC for exactly the same reasons - so I could be sure there would be something I could eat. Once I saw the inflight menu I did make some adjustments. The flights were very lightly loaded which helped.

Different strokes, I guess.
That's what I'd do. Nothing to do with "price" for that matter.
I understand that some people may not like some types of seafood.
The question was about recommendations..
SQ do BLT well from several catering ports; I've had it a handful of times now.
I have 5 legs coming up but I don't think I'll get it for everyone. Or maybe...;)

out of FRA the Suckling pig with dark beer sauce, savoy cabbage and potato wedges was amazing.

Also really enjoyed the Honey-glazed duckling with vegetables and Chinese egg noodles.

I was eyeing that one off :)

Isn't your flt like in August? I can sense Premature Excitation here!

Some of us only get to do this once a year at most. Unlike your good self and cove.

Unless it has changedBTC does not offera lot re breakfast choices.

PS: They had hot breakfast, fruit, pastries, toast etc.....but I just felt like cereal and yoghurt and was not that hungry.

FWIW when returning the other week SIN-MEL we BTC's Lobster for myself and waffles for the good wife.

Upon boarding I told the crew I wouldn't be eating (was the 2355 dep from SIN) on this flight. My wife asked if she could have the waffels for breakfast instead.

Verdict from her (hard woman to please): Best waffles ever, plane, train, land or sea!

I've seen a photo of the waffles, they do look very good.

My two sons have helped keep our Kris Miles accounts from record highs.
Blackcat20 it is disappointing that we have no Suites to LAX out of Perth thru Singapore and Narita at the moment
Lucky it is still on for London out of Singapore.
We still haven't tried flying out of Melbourne or Sydney as it is 5 hours for us in business class to get to the Crowne Plaza transit stop in Singapore from Perth.

Yeah, disappointing that there's no more R to LAX

Is "Lobster Thermidor" and "Boston Lobster Thermidor" the same? I think we've only had the former, not the latter..

Perhaps the latter is what you have at a "tea party"?

(although I don't think I'd like my lobster turfed back into the sea!)

There are a decent number of breakfast options that I can see, including waffles, eggs benny, beef burger, fish congee, fish porridge, nasi biriyani, nasi lemak, and more. Waffles sound good to me.

Hi all, any tips for earning bucketloads of KF miles?

I've been able to get plenty of AMEX MR points, credit card points (usually go to VFF then transferred to KF), krisspree shop or whatever it's called. Any other good earners out there ? I doubt I'll be doing much if any paid flying on SQ.
