SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Well, SQ has disappointed my better half before we even leave. I wrote to SQ, and asked if Soy Milk is avail, or could be avail on the flight. Although impressively, we received excellent and immediate personalised communication, and follow up as promised, the answer was:
...
I have just sent off essentially the same request for my suites flights next January. Enough requests might make a difference.

Nice. Looking forward to hearing the reply.

Did product placement and packaging make you lactose intolerant too? Weird.

Just pick up a little container of soy milk from the airport if possible.

You'd think most airlines would cater for lactose intolerance these days.

If you btc in F and you prefer the normal menu would they let you change? I'm tossing up between the Boston lobster vs the Kyo kayseki

We rarely go BTC as I still tend to go with a routine of champagne, the caviar with the icy vodka and the French red with the main meal if we are in First or Suites. Keeping zero Krug ,Dom Perignon and caviar at home keeps these flights special for me.

Can I waitlist multiple segments of a flight (LHR-SIN) SIN-SYD and when they both clear get them joined together LHR-SIN-SYD. SQ hotline is telling me that I can only redeem the entire route due to the way the seats are allocated?

New coloured Sleeper Suits filtering through on SQ also - apparently the grey being replaced with blue - I received these on 237 Sat night:

Crew informed me this was only the 2nd flt they had seen them - the previous day's flt the 1st time - they said they had seen no formal announcement / advice.

Anyone know if I add a stopover to an existing booking done before the award chart change if I can keep the old pricing and pay the usd100 or will it be repriced?

IIRC... it will be repriced under the new points.

Adding a stopover = reissue. Reissue = reprice.

We got the blue PJs on SQ238 on 1/4. Mrs tizey was also impressed that the design of the women's amenities kit was changed - and is much nicer in her opinion. Exact same contents, just new design case.

Apologies for the second reply....

There was a 4 page PDF attached to both of our e-ticket emails called 'conditions of contract'. Point 8 says the ticket is good for carriage for 1 year from the date of issue (with some unless they decide otherwise elsewhere wording)

hope this screenshot works:

Interesting, I didn't have that document attached to my tickets. I did have this in the email though.

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm sure you Changi Gurus can help out regarding Transit hotel.

Landing in Changi at midnight and have a flight out of T2 at 7am. Would it be best to reserve now or just walk in to book.

Also our flight home lands at about 2.30 pm and we are overnighting in SIN with a flight out at 7.45am in T3. I don't really want to move our luggage in and out of the airport just for an overnighter. I worked out that 11 hrs in transit is about the same cost as Crowne plaza. Would Transit hotel (extend hours) or Crowne Plaza be the go to?

Also how do you go about extending the stay in Transit hotel longer than 6hrs? do you just notify staff upon check in?
