SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Better want them to load more champs ;)

My SQ222 last month only had 2 bottles of KRUG loaded, so watch out. I'm hoping it was a catering issue and not cost cutting.

The good news is I submitted a complaint on the website and within an hour I heard from the PPS Club team who sent a bottle of KRUG to my office in London. Talk about service recovery!

Only 2 bottles per person? Outrage. Wait, 2 for the entire cabin? In 15 days they better stock extra on my flight, as I intend to see what my tolerance is. :)

Will be interested to hear your A350 review...

I have got a booking on this for in July SIN-MEL, reading the reviews online are very underwhelming, the pitch looks very tight for J. They would have been better to go with the staggered arrangement, compromises width but allows more pitch. Generally not a fan of the flip over seat beds either. Have specifically booked day flights so hopefully the foot cubby hole isn't an issue.

FWIW I flew SFO-SIN J in January and found the seat fantastic as did the wife. However I think the only reason that was the case was because we had the bulkhead - I'm not too interested in stuffing my feet into a small cubby.

And from 831:

And TBH I did my best on 802 and 831 to exhaust the Krug supplies but alas all in vain - 'sigh'.

Is it just me or is krug isn't that great tasting anymore? My last 2 flights on SQ I actually prefer the 06 Dom which is weird as I absolutely love Krug

I think you should lose your champagne card. :)

I'll let you know in two weeks. But I'm betting I still like the Krug, as the blind taste test here at home the other week was a hands down for Krug.

Possible that the 06 vintage is much sore suited to your palate. IMO the 05 was rather ordinary.

I'll let you know in August (last year the 05 Dom was not to my taste, loved the Krug).
