hope you all enjoy China, despite all the last minute changes - part of the joys of travel eh!

Yep 830 dep delayed an hour or more as have all flts into PVG today - reason quoted is airspace restrictions read that as military operations. No biggie - Rare in SKL F and CH on board makes the delay tolerable.

EDIT: Captain just announced airspace restrictions not as yet lifted - further delay - bloody Obama!

EDIT 2: So after 4.15hr delay 830 might just be ready to push back - Champs seriously running out my ears by now!

Crikey Cruiser. I had you down as some reasonably good looking, suave international traveler, and you kind of look a bit like...me. ;)

Some 6 months after what I thought would be my first and only Suites flight, and I've just booked another (thanks primarily to the AMEX Explorer). SQ321 from LHR-SIN and SQ221 from SIN-SYD, with a waitlist on SQ231 for a slightly longer layover in TPR, on the 6th of Feb '18.

Fly solo this time, so I've selected 3A for both legs. Did I make the right choice?

Now to ponder the BTC options and pray to the gods one of the sectors is in the new suite!

3A (and K) are good - the only suites with three windows rather than 2.

For a couple travelling in suites is 2c/d better than 3 c/d, apart from having bassinet option? And if i were to travel with an infant is 2c/d better or if the flight is not full i can get then to set up a spare bed in A or K for infant

Having an infant in a separate suite should not be allowed on safety grounds (and in the event they did, you probably shouldn't anyway). Suites are not close together and in the event oxygen is required, you wouldn't be able to get to your infant. Aside from the bassinet, it seems it is possible to fit a car seat: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/au/travel-info/special-assistance/travelling-with-children/

1A / 1F also have 3 windows - and don't fall for that story that they lack privacy from people using the stairs - indeed there is a very limited view into these Suites when standing on bottom and second bottom step - but then again stairs rarely used by anybody other than crew.

As JT pointed out A/D Suites for LHD and C/F Suites for RHD - standard Suites etiquette.

That is the funniest T shirt I have seen for a long time! I cannot believe you make it and wear it with pride!!!!

Just wondering whether the SIA girl on the T shirt is the same girl next to you?! Looks similar!

A lot of these sites do not update in real time. So it probably means the A$1949 fare has gone up since google flights have searched whenever it may have been
