I am meeting with a new women's shelter today or morrow cove - I will soon have a very deserving home for those PJs - I will post shortly.

CE just finished Meals on Wheels when I read this.

Some of these elderly folk could use some PJ's for winter from the spare J/F ones that we all collect

Maybe deserving of a new thread to harvest these and get to those in need?

Happy to help distribute in Sydney if Affer's see merit in idea?

YES we definitely need a new thread - I will start one in a day or so unless someone else wants to kick it off.

still new to redeeming flights, never done wait lists before.

on our return we would like to wait list 29/12/17 (all options wait listed) or worst case lock in 28/12/17 (confirmed tickets available online currently).
Is this possible to do online myself? or via call centre?

hmm, then i seem to be missing an obvious step.
I can't see a way to waitlist for 29/12 and lock in 28/12 both now.

ok sorry if i confused you - lock in the flt that is available and record you BR#. Then call KF on 02 8228 1188 and ask the agent to add the sector/s you require to your existing booking - if and when WL clears you may be able to update online but if not call back and ask them to update your booking with the cleared sector/s. no charges for all of this.

not sure about current process, but i would always do the waitlist first, as in the past (> 12 months ago) you couldn't WL if you didn't have sufficient points.

What about all those hotel soaps and shampoos, creams etc. that could be collected and recycled in same way. I have read that they all go to landfill if not taken. Well maybe not a wrapped soap, but the tubes of shampoo etc.
Will not keep them warm, buy might help with the budget.

Here is a tub full being delivered to the women's shelter also - stay tuned for a possible national plan going forward.

i always swipe these when travelling as our Bris office collects them for a women's shelter. I send them up in internal mail (sshhhh), but a local collection would be good. Toothbrushes are like gold apparently especially when they have the mini tube of toothpaste included.

OT - but there's someone on the FB FFA type group that has a charity that does exactly that. hoping someone remembers it and can post here (or to a more appropriate thread)

The SQ call centre staff will add a waitlist for the same itinerary to a confirmed booking. No need to have the additional points for the extra waitlist. But does need to be done via phone.
