Does anyone know the eligibility for Express path cards for VA WP/SG in Y?

I seem to always get them when leaving Aus but very rarely when departing SIN? I really needed it today (didn't need to in the end) as I had another VA Dom flight on a separate PNR but the gate agents said it is for J/R/PPS only? Even *A Gold are not eligible. Is that the case or was I just unlucky? Not having my status printed on the boarding pass didn't help either.

I have got them coming back. Often need to ask. I've got them at check in also on board from flight attendant.

Is the SQ F lounge SYD open all day for dining?

The SYD SQ Flounge was open all day in July 2015 when my daughter's morning SYD-SIN SQ232 flight was delayed around 8 hours spending the whole day in the Flounge.
Should go down as one of my travel mistakes as never bothered to check my mobile which SQ had attempted to call me and made a number of SMS's.
She ended up at SIN walking off one plane straight onto SQ382 SIN-ATH with a 2am departure.

Bummer - another one bites the dust! Mia has up and left SQ/KF Call Ctr - just as I had her trained! Mia has provided invaluable assistance over last 18mths not only to myself but several others her - damn I will miss her.

Crystal => Eli => Mia => who knows who - the hunt begins.

Perhaps I asked the wrong question ... My F flt departs SYD at ~ 1800 but I need check out of Rydges a bit earlier than that. Am I able to access the F lounge any time I like (and find food)?

SQ Lounges open 3hrs prior to flt time - if less than 3hrs btw flts then Lounge stays open. All food not consumed prior to dep is thrown out and restocked.

So, should be open seeing as the flight before is 3.05 hours prior to my flight. And check in too hopefully - could I check in much earlier than my flight and take off?

Never noticed in reviews that SQ don't do caviar service with a pearl spoon. Strange. Wasn't even given a spoon just knife and fork? Double strange.

Caviar with the icy vodka plus a knife works great for me (after the Krug).

I collect the little plastic spoons they give you at 7/11s in Thailand. Pop them in my glasses case and use them on the plane. (I have *no* idea if it makes any difference, I just feel the poor fish needs justice :shock

You can check in online 48hrs pre dep but your bag drop is the problem as you can only drop off bags 3hr pre dep - 380flts might be 3.5hrs I think.

Edit: Above information came from a call I made to SQ MEL Office - but a check of SQ web site reveals this: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/travel-info/check-in/counter-checkin/. It appears the 3/3.5hr limit does apply in MEL but may not apply in SYD.

Am currently ensconced in SKL F MEL - I have had 'audience' with SQ MEL Operations Manager - she made call to SYD and clarified position - SYD do not offer all day checkin or all day bag drop - they adhere strictly to 3/3.5hr pre dep checkin but due to flt timings Lounge stays open all day from 3hr pre dep 212 to dep 242.



Hope this helps gmoh - but by all means call SQ at SYD and ask again. Sorry I do not have their number.

MEL on the other much more customer friendly - F and J pax can check in any time that they front on day of travel - if flts very full then Y pax will also be accommodated. Luggage will be held upstairs til 3hr pre flt then sent down the chute.

77WN on 238 this morn - new F is a seriously good product - and with RWT sitting beside Krug on wine list just enhances the product.
