Anyone else seeing cough availablity from Asia to Sydney over the next couple of weeks.

No J, no PE, only 1 day has Y that too at advantage. From Delhi to Sydney.

CNY perhaps?

I have some Kris Miles getting close to expiry even after booking to London and Maldives. A true first world problem where I may need my sons to travel more.

This is where hotel bookings have come in handy for me.

CNY clogging the system does work both ways to / fro Asia - I need to be in PEK ASAP after CNY - earliest J I could get on 238 / 802 combo was Feb 11 - I did get 238 in F on 16 and then 802 in J on 17 with WL for F which is now only 4 seater but it still might clear.

Had a very pleasant flight in Suites ex LHR a couple of days ago. The catering was excellent with an excellent pork belly and a decent cheese plate. Breakfast was a Dosa I think it was called - rice pancake filled with potato with chicken curry on the side.

Krug and DP were the champagnes and the wines were excellent.

Sounds like a masala dosa (rice pancake with potato filling), however the chicken curry on the side is not how it's usually eaten - masala dosa is a South Indian dish that's typically 100% vegetarian. Though I have had dosas with meat in them and they're almost as good!!

About a month ago, I was unable to log onto my KrisFlyer account. I was certain that I had the right password etc. Eventually I called KrisFlyer and they got me to re-set my password. I wrote it down, used it and It didn't work. They got me to re-set it again. I wrote it down again, tried it and it didn't work (all while the agent was on the phone). I noted that i had written the passwords down (temporarily) and was certain I was entering them correctly (checked caps lock etc etc).

She agreed there seemed to be a problem and said she would report it as a technical issue and get back to me.

Called back last evening and said the message from the technical people was that I probably mis-entered the password (ie 5-6 times). That didn't go down well.

The agent (same one as dealt with me originally - points for that) said she remembered me saying I had written down the password. Now, I've had some doofus moments but this wasn't one of them. 🤬

maybe the courtship just not going to pan out mate?

A divorce rather than the end of a courtship!. As soon as I run down my KF miles in April, that'll be it. SQ used to be my overwhelming airline of choice (in J) but now one to avoid if I can. Their F is great, no question, but that's a luxury when points are limited. When I chose QF (paid J) over SQ (points J) recently, it was truly sayonara !

Interesting article about new award hold fee
Interesting, I was offered by the phone agent to put a multi sector mixed airline booking on hold on the weekend with no charge while my points transferred over.
