I occasionally got upgraded Y to J on MEL-SIN/SIN-MEL when I was a regular Y pax back a few years - Gold Elite status - very rare on the SIN to China & vv sectors.

Edit: Just remembered one return flt from China where I actually got upgraded from rdpt J to F on 747 - at the time one of my best mates was also travelling in Europe and unbeknowns to me we were actually on same flt 237 dep SIN 23:50 or so - he was on paid J tix FRA-SIN-MEL and we ran into each other in lounge.

Just like Dajop at boarding B/P beeped and I am handed lovely new Maroon B/P - and I still remember how FA was so totally apologetic about not having any Krug aboard that flt and that only Dom available - my mate still squeals about it every time I remind him.

Apparently it is [email protected]

From what I read, you email just a couple of days before your flight. Never asked myself so not sure if it still works.

Thank you for your interest in the inflight menu available for your upcoming flight(s). We wish to share that due to operational considerations, our menus may be subjected to changes. We regret that we are unable to accede to your request to share the menu with you ahead of time.

hmpf!

and whilst i'm complaining - no caviar or satay during lunch service on the morning flight from SYD-SIN!

That's disappointing! Maybe ask on board if there is a way to find out for next time?

Just thought I would ask again as I can't see the answer with a quick search

Looking to book MEL-SIN-ZUR and then LHR-SIN-MEL

Wanting to add a stopover in SIN in BOTH directions and traveling in Suites/First on SQ points

From memory you can only add a stopover on a Saver ticket on a return flight in/out of the same destination ?

So adding a 2nd stopover is $100 on a return ticket ?
Adding a stopver on an one-way ticket is $100 ?
Could I fly MEL-SIN-ZUR and then LHR-SIN-MEL ? on a return ticket

book 2 one ways. yes to stopover in each direction and should be charged $100 (they might not explicity quote the $100 fee but it will be included in the 'taxes')

ltt as dd said best to book 2 X o/w - you cannot add stopover to a o/w rdpt online - you need to call - KF call ctr always your best friend and YES stopover in each direction will cost you USD100 ea direction.

I thought booking a round trip saver award includes one free stop over, yes/no? If yes, then you can add one for free and a 2nd one for $100.

Correct - but it may not be that easy to find available flts when wanting a stopover in each direction - 2 x o/w adds so much more flexibility when booking and if you desire subsequent changes - YMMV of course but I just never book ret - always 2 x o/w.

Agree

Miles are the same but flexibility is multiplied many times over.

In TPR at the moment, been in and out for the last few hours. Is it just me, or are 90% of pax through here Aussie's? Haha.

Last few times, I have felt inclined to retire after eating to the First lounge as more spacious and no where near as crowded. SIN J and TPR lounges sure get a workout.

Interesting. I've had several occasions where I've been the only one in there for hours.

will be there in about 4 hours for a lhr flight. Am guessing there will be a few people around then!

Monday morning two weeks ago was like a zoo with TPR escort embarrassed having difficultly finding a spot with two seats settling on a spot she hastily had to clean up the side table.

Yes and although technically not allowed I have added a stopover to a oneway, I suggested that I pay the $100 however after ticketing there was no additional fee. I think I might have lucked out on not paying the fee but I have read quite a few people comment they where able to add the stopover for $100 on a oneway ticket I would pay that any day for the additional flexibility.

Half my flight was Aussies, was 10/12 full. Service amazing, everything I had dreamed of. Tpr was nowhere near full, I preferred it a lot more than the first lounge. It was quite busy and loud. In Senator Lounge currently waiting for JFK leg!
