SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

If someone wants to book a holiday for me and my wife and child (3 seats) does the person require three redemption nominee slots to be filled? Or is it one slot for the booking?

It would be one nominee per person if you need 3 seats. So if someone is redeeming their points from their account for you, they would need to be able to add all 3 of you.

You can only redeem a flight (seat) for yourself the member, and for your nominees. So if they are not a nominee, you cannot book a seat for them using points as a Saver/Advantage Award..

Note too that to remove each one later, that there would be a fee per nominee too for most Krisflyer Members (it depends on status).

On the nominee issue: my MIL died few months ago, would SQ removes her from my account without incurring a fee ?

I recall there was some chatter about a lack of non-alcoholic options in SQ’s a premium cabins a little while ago.

While browsing the menu for my upcoming flight, I noticed there’s a new and expanded mocktails section. I may well be late in noticing this, but here it is, for the non-drinkers among us.

Naaaah - been there for ages sadly! Seen this list in J so many times - but appreciate the awareness

I like that there is water soft drink Mocktails. Not.

Because because pax who drink alcohol only consume coughtails — not wine, spirits, beer so equivalent. Right 👎👎

Sorry I’m slow on the uptake!

I must admit most of my attention is usually devoted to the stronger stuff, and I only scrolled to this part accidentally.

Hopefully SQ accedes to your request because I agree, there’s nothing particularly exciting about any of those options.

No problemo
Even when I wrote to them with detailed suggestions I think they sent me the xerox response you get for - ‘ ran out of toilet paper in J’, ‘pls dont automatically give out sock w slippers’
Thanks for taking the time.. la la la

Have there ever been any in J?
Not in the 25yrs I have been flying with them. But FWIW I find the SQ sleeper suits way to hot to wear - BYO 'el cheapo'* PJs and take the sleeper suits home with you to gift to a charity gives all a warm fuzzy feeling inside. 👍

* $10 V-neck t-shirt from Rivers + $12 cotton pants from Kmart and you are all set for multiple flts 👍

I think I'll wear my Qatar PJs on my SQ flights. Maybe they'll find something more suitable for me.

I flew QF J to the UK and SQ J home so wore my QF pjs - I did apologise to the crew member who was serving me she laughed and said that’s ok 😀

I personally - and I stress just me - do not ever wear PJ’s in public even on a plane. Feels way too much like being in a posh intensive care unit being served (better food of course).
YMMV
