Apologies - I'm sure this information is somewhere here but I can't find it............ How many days prior (and what AEST time) are Kris Flyer award seats released?

Jumping on Singapore Airlines award space as soon as it’s released can be a great strategy. Get online at one of four different times to be first in the queue for a KrisFlyer redemption.

As most of our regular readers will know, this happens each day at 8am Singapore Time… right?
Well, yes in most cases that’s true – both revenue and award space on SIA flights is added at 00:00 GMT (which is 08:00 SGT) each day, 355 days in advance.

Has anyone had experience with changing a KF saver award and adding a *A award to the same itinerary?
I have a ticketed LHR-SIN SQ F saver award.
I want to add GVA-LHR on LX J the day before, which arrives <24 hours before the LHR-SIN departs.
The main reason is so I get the APD back (about 200 GBP).
The mileage increase from 141k to 158.5k is worth it.
Plus, that's what my travel plans will now be.
This post indicates something of the same type can be done, but the person had to go in person to the SQ physical office (!).

Call centre says it's not possible - they can't find a way to price it. They can see the GVA-LHR but cannot get the through fare to be priced. Waited over an hour for them to talk to support.

Just off the top of my head… does it go against the ‘no backtracking’ rule? The booking conditions state backtracking is only allowed where ‘required by route restrictions’. Maybe SQ want you to fly out of ZRH in this case?

I do recall the rule of thumb for backtracking - is if the distance travelled >x% (40-60%) of the point to point distance. As GVA-LHR-SIN is only 10% longer than GVA-SIN, I doubt this would be considered backtracking .
Checking in online yesterday for my latest SQ flights, I got almost to the end and was confronted with a stern warning to the effect that the name on the booking did not match the name on my KF a/c and if I proceeded I would receive no credit for the flights! Needless to say, this was BS..the flights had been booked under my KF a/c on the SQ website and I had had no problems with OLCI on the outbound flights. I cancelled the checkin and tried it again and this time all went as expected. Things like this do NOT inspire confidence in the underlying system: have others experienced anything like this?
Have I always misunderstood SQ Reward redemption ticket-validity period?
I had points expiring in September 2023, so booked a reward First/Suites Advantage redemption SYD-SIN-LHR for September 2024, when the redemptions were released. I've always thought that the ticket validity was an additional 12 months after the original travel dates, so through to September 2025.
I have to change these flights, so rang today to move them to May 2025. I was informed the 12 month ticket validity period commenced from the Ticket Issue date (therefore from September 2023 and only until September 2024). Therefore the desired May 2025 dates were outside the ticket validity period. Is that really so?
I always thought the benefit of booking the redemptions last minute meant that you sort-of got up to 23-24 months to "extend" the expiring points. Was I wrong in my assumptions all along?
Just a data point - cash fare but relevant to >12m ticket validity on SQ
Dec 2023: Booked a D class fare (Business Lite) for travel in Oct 2024. E-ticket issued shortly after booking.
Apr 2024: Changed the booking, both route and date, to travel in Apr 2025. Also added an infant.
So in this case travel is 17 months after ticket was first issued on this PNR.
The agent forgot to levy the ~$250pp change fee and only charged a small fare difference ($100pp) for the route recalc so maybe I got lucky. Her first recalc came in at $8k which I disputed so maybe she waived on that basis.
I’m after confirmation on how upgrades work with SQ.
If I purchase a paid business ticket and wish to upgrade to first:
* If there is redemption availability showing, will an upgrade be guaranteed? Does the upgrade process at the time of request?
* If first is only offered on one of the legs, will you only get charged the upgrade points for that leg? Or like when you do a straight redemption, the highest class of travel determines the points required for a mixed class booking.
Why is making changes to Redemption bookings so hard with the call centre. As has been discussed previously, the agents keep saying that they cannot see the availability, as the online availbility is for "new bookings", and then you ask them to go check again, and eventually someone knows how to grab the fare availability and make the changes. But it is so random and then so frustrating. Has anyone learnt the "magic words" or know what instructions can help to guide the agent to be able to get the new availability for making a change?
When you use the Change function online (in this instance, it's greyed out anyway..) it's just using the same availability online, so why is it different for the agents?

A PITA I’m dealing with for a while as it seems every booking that I’m trying to change has this issue, usually with *A partner availability. Knowing how SQ operates don’t expect them to fix it anytime soon.
Incidentally QF has similar issue with Int - Dom connections.
Just looking at Book the Cook out of BNE on SQ236 and the choices seem rather limited. Anyone tried the Grilled Beef in Green Peppercorn Sauce?
Then for SQ336 to CDG I'm thinking of the Lobster but I know many on here seem to prefer the chicken rice, although I see both are also listed for breakfast. Any other suggestions?

Duck Confit and Bak Kut Teh are two of my favourites.
Also have a look at the onboard menu online. Lately I find it more interesting than the same old BTC offers, particularly when not departing ex SIN.
I had the chicken rice in August last year...the meat was horrible. I should've taken notice of a disclaimer on the BTC menu that stated something along the lines of "due to supply constraints frozen chicken is being used". Not sure if that is the reason it was so bad or otherwise I was just unlucky.
SQ222 ex SYD Dinner BTC for Suites is equally limited...
Barramundi and Jasmine Rice
Beef Rendang with Coconut Rice
Boston Lobster Thermidor
Chicken Stew in Grain Mustard sauce
Grilled Beef in Green Peppercorn Sauce
Khao Thom
Roast Chicken in Wild Mushroom Cream
Salmon in Wild Lime Butter Sauce
Probably go with the lobster just so I can say I've tried it. Nothing else really stands out.
I had Lobster few weeks ago from Singapore to Perth, wasn't that impressed. But I was properly spoilt on the way from Taipei to Singapore to Perth. By the time I got on board to Perth, I already eaten and drunk too much. Anyway in the last 4 trips with Singapore Airlines in Business, I really enjoyed the carrot cake for dinner (Singapore to Busan).
