if I have a bunch of Krisflyer miles that'll expire from not using them, are there any other ways to use them apart from converting it to VFF to prevent them from going to waste?
I think you can pay a fee so save them for 6months.

You might want to read this post, which explains what you can do pretty comprehensively. My personal vote would be to book a flight: you need to book before the miles expire, but you don't need to fly before they expire.

I have Kris miles expiring next February that can’t be extended.
Due to some health issues I am no longer able to travel near or far.

All I can think of is to convert to Velocity and then get Cole’s gift cards. 😱
Don’t know anyone I can book flights or hotels for.

Any other ideas?

At the second delay, meal voucher for everyone, including those in business. Enough for a drink and sandwich/burger. Airlines which shall remain nameless wouldn't even think about water let alone anything else.
The last time we flew J, they ran out of my wifes book the cook order, they offered a $150 coupon without even asking, that I redeemed with a purchase from the KrisShop on final last leg home. Shame I didn't order 5 of the same for the whole family.

That’s good. My wife flew with SQ in F and the air conditioner above her seat burst, leaving her quite wet. She was offered a towel.

Aircon pacs are never situated overhead pax, pipes/ducts are which was probably the issue.

Just a data point: SQ happily let me cancel a Saver booking with no penalty after a schedule change resulted in a 15 minute later arrival time 😁

I managed to cancel three KrisFlyer bookings without penalty when ET changed the flight times to arrive five minutes sooner. When I need to cancel a trip I hold off until the last minute in the hope that a schedule change will let me do it free of charge. I currently have 318,000 Qantas points tied up waiting for a schedule change some time between now and next August.

I remember looking like a month or 2 ago and I saw saver fares?
That’s fair enough. S as far as I can tell, F Saver Awards to/from Australia have been discontinued.

There’s no formal hand luggage storage in the Private Room but I have had them look after bags before (in the old version of TPR). It would take a very committed thief to buy an F ticket in order to steal someone’s hand luggage.

Here something nice, and something I didnt know..

On SQ 211 earlier this week in F with a super nice leading stewardess (green uniform) running the cabin. Only 3 pax and one of those slept the whole way, so cabin staff werent exactly busy. Late in the flt she arrives with a Kris shop catalogue and tells me something I had forgotten: that I had some $160 in KF vouchers expiring in Nov and would I like to buy something onboard?

Well here it is late Oct and I hv no plans for more travel, so yes I would - but how did she know about the vouchers?

Seems that the crew have access to pax profiles, at least those in the SQ freq flyer program, and this stewardess had looked me up, so to speak.

It took a bit of searching, because Kris shop onboard items are limited, but I did find something to do with the otherwise expiring vouchers. Hv since commended her actions to SQ, because that was quite some personal, high level, customer service..

Yeah my mother in law has had the same prompt by the stewardess in J.
