Frankfurt also has the A380 and a quick connection time in Singapore so don't have to worry about entertaining the kids for hours, so there are upsides.Sage advice, thanks

Question re: the FRA-MEL SQ Business Saver redemption. Frankfurt isn't my preferred return point, if four seats happen to open up from Rome, Milan, Paris or Zurich
As it's a 26hr stopover, you might want to go further afield than the airport CP. Eg, Village Hotel Changi is very nice and plenty of food and walks in that area.I know its been mentioned a million times here and there, but what's the best pub to stay at the airport (landside)?

Rooey I have not stayed in CP main rooms for years - their beds were like morgue slabs - but bathrooms good. Their EL is was an absolute 'Barry Crocker' in terms of F & B offerings - don't know if improved - cove might have better idea - didn't Dr Ronny just stay there?
They had newer smaller rooms which I thought were better - don't know if that helps - I prolly should butt out as it's quite a few years since I stayed there and TBH with yout time frame I would def be heading into town.
Amen to thatAustralia’s new flag carrier.
Singapore Airlines Was Australia's No 1 International Airline In May
Singapore Airlines carried the most passengers of any airline on flights to and from Australia in May, beating out homegrown airline Qantas.simpleflying.com
Have 2 x F bookings from SYD to SIN to LHR next May.
Just received an email saying we have been bumped back to Business for SYD to SIN
There is Advanage F on the flight 3 hours earlier. Any possibility of changing these flights?
Waiting on a callback, but not hopeful
Also I can’t see my SIN to LHR legs on the KrisFlyer site….
We currently have a long 17 hour layover at Changi. Spent the night in the SK lounge. The lounge gets very busy particularly between 2100 and midnight. Afterwards it thins out quickly and is almost deserted overnight until early morning.
The chaise lounges in the nap room are fine for a short nap or to get away from the crowd. We didn't find them suitable for an overnight sleep. Even at the busy times there were always a few empty ones. Turn left at reception and walk to the very end of the lounge. You will find them hidden behind to sliding doors on the left side.
Staff happy to provide blankets and pillows and the sofas in the main lounge are much better for an overnight sleep.

You must ask for pre departure champagne. I am at 100% when I ask.No Champagne in the SIN J lounge by the looks of things. Choice of one red and one white. I assume this is post COVID cost cutting.
It is much more pleasant than the old J lounge with natural light and doesn't feel as packed. Food looks more enticing as well.
We also had no pre-departure beverages on the weekend from PER-SIN which was disapoinitng.
About to board a 737-8 aka Max to HKT so if you never hear from me again at least I died upfront on SQ.
