It was mooted end of May would see end of mandated mask wearing by SQ Cabin Crew but that appears now in jeopardy due to an uptick in SG Covid infections - Crew don’t seem overly fazed though

Henriot?? Oh dear the decline continues
But wait there is more - dessert - Gianduja Chocolate Mousse Cake:

I hope images give some insight into how bad this was - for any alleged 5* Intl Airline to serve this up in J Class is an absolute disgrace.

But wait there is more - cheese platter:

Brie was well acceptable - Emmental could have substituted for a door stopper - again for any alleged 5* Intl Airline to serve this up in J Class is an absolute disgrace.

And -,just waiting for IFM Kelvin whom I have had b4 on a flt pre Covid to come speak to me:

I requested he put in his report on flt just hiw unacceptable these were - he apologized profusely and promised to do so,

So kids - got a prob on SQ flt - don’t come here sooking - instead get IFM to include any probs in their flt report - standard practice for them - and then send feedback to SQ post your flt

But at least you got salada biscuits lol

Interesting that they are still listing the Glen Deveron single malt- asked for it on my last 8 sectors and have been told not loaded despite it also being listed on those flights

SQ317 LHR-SIN in business last week. Didn't take a picture of the seat, but I went against the obsession of most pax, and certainly most people on here, as being as far forward in the cabin as possible and took one of the bulkhead seats at the rear of the A380 cabin, 96D. Great seat. Also due to the desire to be as far forward as possible, no one in my row, or the row behind me, or indeed in the row in front (of the space in front of me) on my side of the plane. Closest pax were in 95K or 94D. Curiously, bulkheads in row 91 also remained empty, but the front cabin was completely full.

Not sure if being close the galley helped, being in what felt like a mini-cabin by myself, or my status (supplementary Solitaire due to partner + PPS in my own right) but service was impeccable and in fact had to say "no" several times, as they were too fast with refills of drinks, offers of snacks etc (and probably having 3 pre-takeoff champagnes and a couple of Singapore Slings before the satay arrived didn't help). Little touches like bringing me ear plugs at the start of the flight without prompting were nice too (I used to always ask for them), also dropped off my meal before they went further forward to commence the meal service front to back.

Catering was fine, and dessert way better than the sludge posted above. It has been suggested elsewhere that LHR catering for SQ is some of the best in the network, probably not far from the truth.

In order, obiligatory satay, Grilled Blythburgh Pork Belly with Apple Sauce, Fondant potato, kale and pea puree; Hazelnut and White Chocolate Cake with chantilly cream; and then breakfast before arrival of French Toast.

My travel agent allocated to straight away upon booking, due to Supplementary Solitaire status (I was only gold at time of booking), but PPS would also do. Otherwise bulkheads can be selected at T-48 or T-72 IIRC.

Yeah T-48 at check-in anybody can select bulkheads - for the first time in my life I will hit Solitaire late June so was wondering how you selected?

Yes, if the TA can't/doesn't/won't select ,definitely can do online as soon as ticketed (for TA bookings) or during booking process (for direct bookings). Likewise for economy - can allocate exit rows free of charge at time of booking.

I have flights in August and October on the A380 and have similarly booked the rear cabins - we are currently the only people to have done so on either flight.

I don't remember where I read it but commentary seems to indicate that service is better / faster in these rear cabins vs the main bus. cabin.

Fingers crossed - although this seems borne out by your experience!

Never seen this before - Belgian brand but readily available in Singapore:

I rarely eat dessert - given the current size of my gut champagne and red wine are the only ‘auto inflammatories’ I need ingest - but seriously I find it hard to say no to ice-cream 👍
