Have just checked and I haven't even received my first statement and the bonus points are in my account! I met the minimum spend on day one via IG transfer.

That must qualify as some sort of Commonwealth record! Maybe they knew if they didn't stump up the points on time they'd be in receipt of a Dr Ralph 'reminder' letter (and concomitant schedule of fees :))

Indeed. Not sure whether I feel happy or disappointed about the very early posting of the points o_O

Got my card, now how to spend $5k .... hmmm ....

Received the second statement, getting close to the 3rd. Spend reached in first month and standard points awarded, but no bonus yet.

I met the minimum spend on Day 2 or 3 of having the card but still took me 3 statements to get the bonus points

But this must have been under the previous offer, not the current reduced fee offer. Looks like people under the new offer may be being treated differently.

I recently applied for this extended offer and card is in the mail. Anyone using priority pass? Question below.

I have two trips coming up, one to BKK solo one PEK with partner.
Can I use an BKK PP lounge entry on myself, then PEK lounge entry on myself and guest in partner? Would this be my two entries?

EDIT: found it :)

Lounge usage in excess of two visits and all guest visits will be charged directly to your Amplify Signature Credit Card at the visit fee of US$27 per person, per visit. The first two visits within each twelve month membership period are complimentary to the primary Cardholder only, after which every visit would be charged as per the prevailing rates; currently US$27 per person. Any accompanying guests will be charged US$27 per visit, which will be automatically charged to the Cardholder’s Amplify Signature Credit Card.

Does St. George do Comprehensive Credit Reporting?

Not yet it would seem, but my wife received this email today:

We want to update you on a proposed legislative change that may affect you.

The Australian Government has proposed a change that mandates Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) from 1 July 2018.

Also known as positive credit reporting, the proposed CCR legislation mandates the reporting of positive, as well as negative, credit history - from Australia's largest financial institutions.

What this means for you

Today your credit history includes credit enquiries (applications for consumer credit and credit contracts) and negative information (significantly overdue accounts including defaults and serious credit infringements, and public record information).

The proposed change means that additional information, including account open dates, credit limits and up to 24 months of repayment history, will be supplied to our three credit reporting bodies for all open consumer credit accounts.

Protecting your credit history

It's important to know that from April 2018, we’ll record your comprehensive credit information to comply with the changed legislation and report this to the credit reporting bodies from 1 July 2018.

This means it's now as important as ever to pay your bills on time, and if you do, this will appear favourably on your credit report.

Setting up automatic payments, such as an Automatic Payment Plan, can take the hassle out of remembering to pay your bills on time and help you to keep your payments on track.

You can find out more about CCR at the Australian Retail Credit Association (ARCA) by visiting the CreditSmart website.

Regards
The St.George Team

Just got the 3rd statement, 90k bonus points are on it
Sounds like you joined up prior to the current (discounted fee) promotion.

I made the required spend a week after opening and the 90k bonus points have posted with the first statement.
What month did you get the bonus?

There's been talk about banks doing sweeps of bonus point crediting.
It makes sense from their end. Whether they look at card opening date and threshold spend date may be of consideration.

For those who have got the bonus from this thread offer (discounted fee link), it would be of value to give some idea about when your statement cycle is, threshold spend date, etc.
It's possible some banks have a range for a 12 week (or other time) block and if people have met the requirements, it goes to an automatic bonus sweep.

Will be interested to see how this new reporting will affect my score.

I hope the sign-up bonus credits promptly.
