Any idea if I'm eligible if I'm a cardholder of a BankSA Amplify credit card? Have one through my mortgage. They're different banks technically even though they seem to share the same sort of cards and systems.

Answering my own question: no I don't think I'm eligible. I tried the apply online process and put in my banksa login details and it logged me in and pulled up my details from banksa. Bugger!

Got approved :) just waiting for the card now.

Still unsure if closing an unused CC hurts my score or not. I checked, score dropped when closing CC, and score remained the same after approval for this card. Go figure.

Sometimes there's a lag in the points changing.

Got this email just now:

Anyone else received ?

Exciting news. Your next overseas trip could get even sweeter. For starters, wherever you are in the world, you won't have to pay any foreign transaction fees (FX) when you use your St.George Credit Card ending in 2693 between 14 June 2018 and 31 January 2019.

Things you should know:
1. $0 Foreign Transaction Fee offer: This offer is only available to the recipient of this communication when they make Foreign Transactions using their St.George Visa credit card and which appear as entries in their card account statement between 12:01am AEST 14 June 2018 and 11:59pm AEST 31 January 2019. Please note there may be a delay between the date that the Foreign Transaction occurs and when it appears as an entry in the card account statement. A 'Foreign Transaction' is any transaction made using the card: a) in a currency other than Australian dollars; or b) in Australian dollars or any other currency with a merchant located outside Australia; or c) in Australian dollars or any other currency that is processed by an entity located outside Australia. Please note that it may not always be clear to you that the merchant or entity processing the transaction is located outside Australia. 'Foreign Transaction Fee' means a fee charged to you being a percentage of the Australian transaction amount of a Foreign Transaction (currently 3%). Other fees and charges are payable. This offer may be varied or withdrawn at any time.

Would almost be worth keeping the card for the promo period if I got that offer if it wasn't for the 15k minimum credit limit.

When the sign-up bonus posts does it show up on the credit card statement first or do the points just appear on the QFF statement?

Met the spend inside the first month and bonus just posted on the 3rd statement.
Same Same. So disappointed! Would have liked some free points!

Just sent a letter cancelling the card. And just applied for a new Westpac card. Gotta churn and burn!

I hope its worth it.

Filled out application 2 days ago, sent docs, set up the internet banking.

Today, got SMS and e-mail saying 1) Details didn't match my profile (huh? what profile?) 2) that I hadn't sent the required docs and 3) I hadn't yet set up internet banking.

Called the number supplied and got a hopelessly trained young bloke. I said docs had been sent to the supplied e-mail (which pops up itself, pre populated with application #) .. but he said, no, nothing received, please send again, or take into branch. Me: Where's my nearest branch? (I'm in Tas). Him ... (after long pause) .. Eagle Farm. Me: Where (thinking that's in Qld). Him: Its in Sth Australia.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Then we moved onto the matter of my application address not matching what's in my 'profile'. The address they have is from when I lived in Sydney 15 years ago. I don't recall ever banking with St George, but maybe I did. Me: Ok, can you change it (they had IDed me on the call of course). Him: Extra ID needed. What's your drivers licence number? Me: <Gave it out>. Him: No, not what's in your profile (ie my old NSW licence). Me :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Can I speak to a supervisor? ...

Long wait, get a supervisor who changes the details etc, then says one of my docs not acceptable. Me: So they have been received? Not what the other person said ...:rolleyes:

I won't go into details but a bank statement of last 2 months isn't available (3 monthly), so CBA gave me a letterhead with transactions. Not OK; fair enough. So I have to request a special statement from CBA, which I did late this arvo, 4 days till postal delivery

And not long after, I got an e-mail saying my application had been approved!!

I think I've earned those bonus points ...

Yes, when I applied for mine, I got rang up saying something in my application didn't match what was in my "profile". I didn't know what they were talking about but apparently it was a previous St.George card I had in 2016. Anyhow, the mismatch was the my old application somehow (it wasn't me) had my surname in all uppercase and this application had it in standard mixed case....they did apologize for the trouble.

Met spend on 20th April, a few days after my first statement was issued. Got 3rd statements today, no bonus points and only points from spend on rates and electricity.

Looks like I'm waiting anther month before being able to close this one, ah well.

today is 3rd statement since I met minimum spend - points hit. Now to change to earn KF.

Does anyone know if adding a supplementary cardholder makes it a joint account? It would seem not - but I dont know of how a card can be in joint names??

Card finally arrived today....activated it and put $5000 on it straight away....card now filed away in my drawer :)
...and 2.5 months later, the 90K Qf pts hit my Qf account :)

I sent funds to this CC on Friday and Monday night the funds transfer from Westpac has not arrived.

Did you transfer on Friday before the cut-off? BPay can take a few business days or so for funds to transfer.
