I am reminded of all those folks who churned their Westpac Amex Kris Flyer and Westpac closed all new admissions. I had almost a decade with that card that stopped on April 4th this year.
I have no interest in Kris Miles at this time. I’m only interested in QF points at this time as I’m trying to fly QF as much as possible to build LifeTime status. We all have different goals.

In four days Mrscove put five charges on her new card. I know she loves both Qantas points and Kris Miles so I may have her paying a little more attention. It took her 3 days to get past the qualifying expenditure.

Mviy the problem with Qantas is the lack of availability of international redemption flights other than economy and the surcharges for redemptions are too high to make doing that a success story. A Kris Mile is worth about 3 Qantas Frequent Flyer Points if you are wanting to travel in Business or First based on redemption availability.

@mviy, have I misunderstood, but using points doesn’t give status does it? I collect QF and VA which tend to be used on SQ. Eg current trip F to NYC via FRA.

You're correct, but flying revenue with a points upgrade request you'll get the points for the revenue fare you booked. If I can't/don't want to get a classic reward seat I'd rather book a revenue seat in the cabin I'm prepared to fly in and if I want to go in the upgrade lottery.

Hence my desire to get my sign up bonus ASAP and switch to another credit card that earns QF points.

Second statement. No bonus points :(

Same here, but oh well, if I was St George I would push the bonus point posting out also right until they're require under the T&C's.

I was expecting to wait anyhow based on past experiences of most others.

Points arrived with my second statement after meeting spend before first statement issued

Did you spend anything on your 2nd statement period? I've spent my $5k and have recently received my first statement with only the spend points @75% of dollar spend.

Bonus points arrived day before 2nd statement issued. 1 transaction for ATO in 1st statement, another for ATO in 2nd statement. Met the bonus points requirement in 1st statement. Good to know that they do pay the bonus for paying ATO.

I only got 89,942 points, and no points for my regular spend. I wonder what the reason might be for the missing 58 points. I am getting the points at the completion of my third statement.

That's odd, (tongue in cheek) perhaps QFF are imposing a new "admin levy" - how bollocks would that be!

Did you have any refunds in the period?

The same thing happened to me. I received 89989 but had a had a refund in the period. It all added up and I received the correct number of points including those for spend in month 1.
