For those considering this card, particularly on an 'earn & burn' basis for the 60k points, WBC (St. George's Parent) is currently running an in-house (unadvertised) First Year Free deal on their Altitude Qantas Black product - with very similar specs.
I signed up this week - all it took was a call into the call centre and a mention of the deal and it was straight into the sign-up process. Within 10 minutes the approval email was in my inbox. Easiext 60k ever...

Thanks, just wish I knew this before I got the St G one!

Signed up for this and then realised I could have gone the Westpac Black card with the same level of points, better earn rate and fee free.

Oh well. Nearly enough SQ miles to go to Taiwan in J for $279 is still a bargain in my book :p

2nd statement has arrived no 60000 points yet, hopefully i'll see them next month!
I'm now into my my third month since first purchase - 02 Feb - and no sign of points. Maybe they run it right up to the 'up to three months'.

Is it worth phoning the call centre? I find they need "nudging" sometimes. Even if they confirm that the points will only arrive at the last possible time.

I have a Westpac card currently - are you saying that I can automatically upgrade? Do I need to submit pay slips and the standard docs again or can I just ask to be upgraded?

We're not in any hurry for the points but if they don't arrive by 02/05 I'll be on the phone straight away.

How quickly did you received your card after submitting ID points? I went to the branch on Wednesday 01 April and yet to get a sign of a credit card in my letter box...

You may need to call them. It was reasonably slow, and because to the lousy branch experience I got them to mail the card, etc. to my home rather than have to go back to the branch. Between my travel and their hopelessness, probably 3 weeks in the end. The call centre staff seem better switched on and responsive and come through with what they agree with you, slowly.

Another statement and no bonus. First payment was 9th Feb so it'll be just over 3 months when I get my next statement in May

My 60,000 points finally came through with my 3rd statement.

Hi Everyone

Recently was approved and received the St George Amplify Signature card with $60k Qantas points subject to spend by 30 April. Can anyone advise if there is a minimum spend requirement i.e need to spend $500 to qualify - can't locate a $ amount anywhere in the literature St George have sent me and I would hate to miss out on the points by not meeting the spend requirement.

Thanks

I think it was just one transaction by end April and amount didn't matter. I used mine a bit to cover contingencies, but it takes at least 60 days from memory before might see QF points.

I concur. I applied and was approved in February. I've made a small spend at Coles and this week I spoke with St George who confirmed all I need to do now is wait.

Correct, I used mine a lot but my wife only made a $4 paypass transaction on hers and still got her points.
