Strategy to obtain US Amex

If/when I try for a second US card using GT, then I will be applying for it exactly as I did for the first one.

Ah so you used your non-US (assuming Aussie account) login and do the GT transfer like last time and do the application that way? Or did you use your US account for the "GT"?
Yes, I used my Au account to apply as exactly as I did last time. As the name suggests, I don't think GT is possible within a country. Hence an existing US account shouldn't be used to GT for another US card. At least in my understanding.

I signed up to the Green card through the US site as my second card. Used my US login to apply. Was referred and the fraud team called me on my TextNow number & was then approved.
Any questions in particular did they ask to verify? What did you think might have caused the potential fraud alert to be issued?

I'm not sure what caused it - maybe because my first card was a GT. They asked pretty much identity questions like passport number (glad I had it handy) and address (myUS).

I did get a larger sign up bonus applying this way which was nice :)

ultra mobile paygo act kit costs USD$13 plus taxes. Abit of a pain to get as not all T-mobile stores stock that particular SIM card. So if ya need one, much easier to order one online.

Unless they can activate for you; you cannot activate the Ultra Paygo here in AUS and have enabled international roaming.

Does anyone have the HSBC US Mastercard? I am trying to figure out whether it has a chip + paywave capability.

I do . I believe it does .

Thanks, for some reason I haven't been assigned a relationship manager at HSBC US even after a month, I am looking to use the card internationally and having paywave would be much better in "hiding" it is an overseas card.

Time to call up the generic HSBC US line and ask to get the HSBC Premier MC card.

Not sure there is anything that stands a out about it that looks ‘different’ to the AU card. Shouldn’t have any issues though I agree paywave will help. Can always stick it on Apple Pay if HSBC US are a partner. I haven’t done so on mine as I usually make a small purchase to keep it active.

Has anybody else from Sarasota received an email from AMEX saying:

"We were unable to send mail to your current billing address. Please help us by updating your billing address as quickly as possible so we can deliver important information about your account."

I know of one other person who got the same email today.

Not for me. This sounds like MyUS has returned mail to Amex, rather than forwarding it, and therefore raising a red flag.

I got this email a few weeks back, Amex US must be sending something via mail to cardholders and they all getting bounced back from myUS, do anyone has the mail premium service from myUS that can shred some light on what the Amex mail is about?

Doesn’t load on Apple Pay . Was told because I am outside the US.
