This is an interesting turn of events.
I applied for CSP 25/4. I called the status line on 25 and 26. 7-10 days. Most likely looking for confirmation that I applied. I called 26/4 US time and asked about it. Was requested to submit a ITIN and address verification.
Now before apply, I was expecting to be declined since I was declined for WoH back in March (whether due to application location or the Equifax issue). Now with address verification, the listed accepted documents didn't include a bank statement as an accepted document so I was fully expecting to get declined. The CS Rep did mention that the ITIN should have my full address on the letter for verification so I hoped that it would be accepted.
I submitted my ITIN for SSN/ITN verification and ITIN + Bank statement for address verification and two hours later I was approved. I'm a little shocked and I would have preferred to keep a slot open if I knew I would have been approved by not applying the Amex Gold.
This puts me at 4/24 (Aspire, Gold, Green, and CSP). Bummer since I would like WoH and IHG and I won't drop back down to 4/24 until March 2024. So that means that I might not be able to apply for anything between my next card and March 2024 with Chase if I want both WoH and IHG.
Never planned to get CSP but here I am. Still have VX, S1, WoH, IHG in my sights so that's something I need to plan out.
Just an FYI, I applied for WoH without a VPN and was flagged with fraud even when I provided requested documents. This time I applied for CSP with a VPN in my "home" state and no issues with fraud.
I recall upthread someone mentioned being flagged for fraud when they used their CSP overseas. Any idea how I can manage or pre-empt it for my new card?
FWIW, my Experian score is 726 with Amex and 706 with C1 (when I was declined by them).
Edit: Google Fi didn't seem to work for authentication texts from Chase either
