Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

Rang them back to get my phone booking fees refunded. Spoke to Adele in Hobart. Flatly refused to as she believed you can book these online. QUoted the RoQ 7740 and she still didn't believe them.

Also I am now confused as the first lady told me that I would be earning 60SCs and now Adele has said it is only 15 E/W. So it has now cost me 48,000 for 30SCs - total waste IMO.

Any help to solve this would be appreciated.

2 recent bookings:

Apr 14 | Sept 14 | J | CBR-BNE-CNS-SYD-CBR | 72,000 | $563 + $7 CC fee | ? | ? | 200

Apr 14 | Dec 14 | J | CBR-MEL-HBA-MEL-CBR | 48,000 | $167 + $7 CC fee | ? | ? | 160

Both phone calls were an effort (50+ mins each), but working through each step slowly the bookings were made. I checked the activity statement after each booking to see Any Seat Award against the points cost, which had me thinking that things worked out. Was also surprised with a $35 phone booking fee on the first call (receipt arrived via email), therefore had to promptly return a call to say "I don't think so..." They kindly reversed that charge.

Points/$ for two - SC for one

Was quoted $1,576 when booked - no idea why the $$ increased by $120.54  (was expecting $60 for CC fee)

If you are QF Plat, suggest ringing the premium desk to book as when I called the "special" number given by QF to make mASA bookings, the agent told me that they could no longer be booked; thanked him immediately (calling on Skype from OS) and rang the Premium desk where the agent reminded me they could not be booked after 30th June so I thought "great, she knows what she is doing!" until she tried to charge me a booking fee, which she immediately retracted when I pointed out that it should not be charged; 13 min Skype call which cost $0.40 :)

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

May 14 | May 16 | J | MEL-SYD-MEL | 32,000 | ~$210 | | 55,868 | 80?

Just booked a MEL-SYD-MEL in J (U) class for 55,868 pts with zero co-pay. At 32,000 points the co-pay was $210 or so, IIRC. I believe this should earn 80 SCs if I fly it (which may yet not occur), will update if I do.
