Congrats infinity!

Good to hear that the released another F suite that was waitlisted. Do you have any status with SQ ?

Was that trip booked before SQ allowed 2 Suite Savers on the SYD-SIN run? Could explain the Waitlist being cleared. Unless it is the 3rd F Saver fare for that same flight?

Has anyone ever had a MEL-SIN waitlist on the A380 flight clear for a 2nd F Saver on that same flight?

Oh and BTW wafl - welcome to the club - Suites Savers something else aren't they?

They are. Especially when they're half-the-R-cabin-to-yourself-Suites-Savers :-)

Info conveyed to me 15mins ago by SQ/KF call centre - planning Aug trip into PVG - ret out of PEK - planned on a couple of nts on way home in SIN - spoke to my regular 'princess' Crystal - YES I believe this is 100% correct.

Out of interest: I've seen you mention Crystal before - I assume she must be a particularly good agent? How are you getting to consistently speak to the same person - do you have a direct line to her? Or just ask for her by name when you call?

Have SYD/SIN/MXP in July for two. Originally booked the F suites when SG opened them up last year. Couldn't get two seats on same flight so had split booking to SIN on SG 222 and SG 232.
Had wait listed either way on the splits between flights to see if we could get both flying together.
Yesterday they released the second F suite on 232. Yippee !!
Will be great to compare F suites

I have done QF EK EY and will do A3888 on MAS and TG in May

Well done :-) Let us know what you think - I'd be interested to hear your opinion of SQ R vs the other F products you've flown.

My list now goes (in descending order of quality / enjoyment): SQ R, QF A380 F, TG 77W F Suites (the leased Jet Airways planes), CX 77W F, TG 747 F Seats (the "newer" seats). I've also got TG A380 F and OZ 747 F (and more SQ R) coming up later this year - looking forward to both of those.

wafl YES I have Crystal's ext no. - she works from 11pm to 7am SIN time - I always ask for her - probably get access to her 50% times I call - she is always on phone.

Until now, I thought Crystal was 'Cove's ATO girlfriend' - a figure of speech !

Ok, I was a bit out of the loop (dim) at the moment.

SYD-SIN: how do actually obtain / wait list 2 Savers?

When you log in, click the 'dot', enter the (one) name. That's only one pax AFAIK.

Do you log off and repeat the process or.. something else I should be aware of?

Thanks Saver Lovers

Cruiser Elite- Quick question. If I go the book over the phone, forgo the 15% discount, pay the $100 for a stopover, can I still if booking a J class trip go on the wait for Suites? And if it is approved would I complete the process over the phone or via the site of the wait list comes through.

Crikey - please don't rely on my advice too much - not long ago another poster told me here I was incredibly silly – but I will try to help anyway.

IME YES you can book / waitlist as many flts as your little heart desires as long as you have sufficient pts to cover booking and you are prepared to pay the USD30 cancellation fee and wait for pts to be returned.

I have indeed had confirmed J Savers locked in and waitlisted F on same flt – I have then called KF and upgraded to F over phone and paid extra taxes and pts – no problem to do that.

I have also upgraded J Saver to Suite Saver online within 4 hours of departure – these are one way only as I never book return redemptions – hope that helps.

Cruiser Elite- Thanks for the help. Don't know whom called you "silly" as your a very helpful/well informed person. A SQ guru :)

Spizz – you’re words are too kind – not everybody would agree with you.

I once had an agent in good ol’ U S of A who was underperforming so I terminated our agreement.

He sent me a rather uncomplimentary letter where he called me ‘dishonest, deceptive and deceitful’. I showed the letter to Cruiserette who replied that ‘he’ was far from accurate – he left out ‘immoral’!

But back OT – I do quite a few redemptions each year so I would be kinda disappointed if I did not retain some of the knowledge I have gathered over the years – and I do come from a VERY LARGE family - caring is sharing.

I just booked 2 x Suite savers for MEL-SIN on June. Really looking forward to it. Only around 250K points for two people return which is way better value than VA or QA.

Guys on lord Howe island with little Internet. Will respond to ur questions next week when back

Just noticed those came online a few days ago. 2 Suites for the MEL-SIN is great by me. Another route also opened up for 2 Seat Savers as well.

Thanks to Cruiser Elite for the help and the contact. Just booked my flight and also sprung for my Parents as well (via SPG Points over the years). We are all travelling MEL-SIN, and then 4 nights later SIN-HKG. Myself in 3F (Right handed 3 Window Suites), and my parents into 15A & 15K which from posts both here and on FT, are the best for the Business Cabin on the A380. Returning with EK Suites.

Also choose to pay the $100US each to do it as a Stopover, forgoing the 15% discount, but retaining many more points overall so well worth it.

As an aside as has been mentioned there are 2 Seat Savers finally, finally available for MEL-SIN, and also the same for SIN-HKG. I asked if there was any chance of a 3rd Suite Saver Waitlist ever being released by the Seat Controller (so I could eventually get my parents both in Suites as well) and they said umm no :) Oh well tried.

Updated list for 2 Suite Savers on the same A380 flight-

So the list stands as-

- SYD-SIN
- SIN-SYD
- SIN-MEL
- MEL-SIN
- SIN-HKG
- HKG-SIN
- SIN-JFK
- JFK-SIN
- SIN-LHR
- LHR-SIN
- SIN-ZRH
- ZRH-SIN
- SIN-CDG
- CDG-SIN

Think that covers it all.

Do you think for syd-sin vv allows enough time to enjoy suites? Or is J more than enough for this length of flight?

Daytime flights ABSOLUTELY - o/n flts waste of time in Suites - you might as well be in std F or even J on 380/77W - IMHO of course - YMMV.
