And the dance goes on - Suites savers in and out of ZRH late Aug / early Sep - it's a beautiful thing.

Now due to a rare occurrence where I was booking flights with a few drinks on board I actually ended up with 2 x confirmed and ticketed flts home on Sep 1 - indeed 2 x tix on same flt 227 on Sep 2 - 1 ex ZRH and 1 ex MUC - plus i have a waitlist out of FRA on Sep 1 with confirmed sector 227 on Sep 2.

So basically I had 3 confirmed Suites on 227 on Sep 2 all in my name - can anybody top that?

Felt a tad silly needing to call back and cancel the MUC flt - will take the FRA flt if it confirms - this process does keep the mind active but end result kinda tantalizing.

Interesting. So in a round about way you can indeed get 3 Suite Savers on the SIN-MEL flight, just using connections out of different airports?

Seriously I do not know - that is just how the cards fell last week.

I still have 2 confirmed (1 ticketed) seats on 227 SIN-MEL on Sep 2.

63750 for a suite ? Am I reading this right ?
How come QF is so expensive I will never understand. You can only barely get a J in QF for that...

Just booked 2 x SINLHR Suites with no issues if anyone wants another data point. There was also another A380 flight available on the same day. In contrast it seems to be more difficult booking Business Savers as waitlisting was required for Business Savers on the same day.

Alas we'll be doing BNESIN in Business as we don't have the annual leave to spend additional time transiting via SYD. But the First Saver rates for BNELHR are still very good value even if we're in Business for the first leg. It's the OH's first time on an A380 so that's my justification for spending the extra miles rather than going in Business and saving the miles 'for another day' as originally planned!

How much were the SINLHR suites going for Keith ?

This was booked as a First Saver award between Australia and the UK so 112,625 miles per pax one way. I also managed to get the 15% online booking discount even though this was booked through the call center on the basis that the website can't handle mixed class bookings.

We looked at Qantas and the points were 7 figures each to get to LAX in January so I booked Suites out of Singapore to LAX and return and then went back and did the PER-SIN-PER in J to make the connections work the way we wanted. All done in about 20 minutes.
Out of Perth we don't get Suites but seeing the flight is only 5 hours to Singapore there is no real need to back track to MEL or SYD to start a trip.

Looks like no more Kiehl's Amenity kits on SQ F flights. They've changed to some other brand :(

I will have to break this news to Mrscove quite gently as I saw her looking to buy more in Canary Wharf and at Heathrow without success in February. I think she had to pay a heap in Sydney.

I have a gross of untouched / unadulterated Kiehl's kits here in MEL cove and I know how important Mrs cove is to you - so get up in the stirrups young fella - I am open to others.

*Now watch all the whipper snappers scratching their heads.................."What the hell is a gross?"

I also have a plethora of these sitting at home. If you are in PER for the OzFest dates I will try and remember to bring some.

Is your status with SQ, or another *A airline? I've often wondered if it would be advisable to swap out my (no status) KF number with my A3 *A Gold number for waitlisted booking, to potentially increase chances of waitlists clearing... no idea if this is even possible for unticketed award booking though!

SQ...

How can you add a FFN from a different carrier to an SQ waitlisted redemption booking? :?:

The *A redemption bucket is different from the KF bucket.
There is always more availability for a KF blue member for a particular route,
than for a *A Gold member looking at the same route.
Except if you are LH Sen....they seem to be able to access more SQ inventory than even PPS.
(Tongue slightly in cheek.)

So, no you can't add a *A number to a KF waitlisted redemption.
Different buckets.

On second thoughts, it may be possible to add another FFN number after the booking has been ticketed. This would allow you to show your *G status on the boarding pass.

I'm not sure how being a partner *G would "improve" the service you recieve, but YMMV.

My understanding is that KF Blue actually get pretty good seat availability nowadays??
