Suites savers now available

The fifth partner in our business has booked a SIN-LAX return in Saver Suites. I have corrupted the whole lot.
He was wait listed and it came through about 36 hours later so the flights ticketed.

*Now watch all the whipper snappers scratching their heads.................."What the hell is a gross?"

Perhaps, if you didn't want to part with all of them you could send Cove a score of them, or maybe just a baker's dozen?

SQ still supplying Kiehls Amenity Packs on MEL-SIN and SIN-PVG flts yesterday/today. SIN-PVG dep 08:05 and aps not handed out - I requested one and FA said no problem but normally not supplied on this flt in F - never noticed it before - don't want jamies but the aps are good for re-gifting.

The *A redemption bucket is different from the KF bucket.
There is always more availability for a KF blue member for a particular route,
than for a *A Gold member looking at the same route.

So, no you can't add a *A number to a KF waitlisted redemption.
Different buckets.

You're 100% correct that *A redemption bucket and KF redemption bucket are different when searching / booking, but I'd say it's possible this becomes irrelevant once you have a waitlisted booking made through KF? And hence also possible their system could treat *A Gold better than KF Blue for the purpose of waitlists clearing.

All just speculation, of course.

On second thoughts, it may be possible to add another FFN number after the booking has been ticketed. This would allow you to show your *G status on the boarding pass.

You can definitely do this with other FF programs, so I'd guess KF would be no different.

I'm not sure how being a partner *G would "improve" the service you recieve, but YMMV.

Greater baggage allowance, possibly? Anyway, I doubt it's a worthwhile thing to do post-ticketing - as you note the extra benefits would be minimal-to-non-existant.

Ammenity Packs are pretty useless to me (except as gifts to the women in my life). I wouldn't know what to do with skin products :oops:

Surprisingly, I actually like the SQ PJs. They are simple, but the 'weight' of the fabric is decent.

What is this checked baggage you speak of? :p :p
I guess it may be useful on the return journey if you are shopping lots...

But yes, I don't think a non-SQ *G would get any 'better' treatment in SQ F... A PPS club member may.

Me to - out of the collection of F and J PJs that I seem to be building up I like the SQ F ones the best, with CX F a close second. QF F or J are good for warmer months (thinner). The TG ones stay in the cupboard cause they just look ridiculous (baby blue).

Couple of updates for SQ Suites and F:

PJ's and amenity packs not offered on daytime flts less than 7 hours I was told yesterday aft - PEK-SIN 5hr 40min - told them UNNACEPTABLE and will be sending in complaint to SQ on my return. I always BYO change of clothes consisting of old SQ PJ pants and a t-shirt - SQ PJ tops too hot for me.

I always bring home intact PJ packet and give to local old folks home who have dozens of old guys with no money / no family / no PJs - they are gleefully accepted. Amenity packs I just re-gift.

Cove be happy – Kiehls still amenity packs still being handed out.

Also SQ237 dep SIN at 23:55 last night not one Australian newspaper available to pax – never experienced this before – always they have Herald Sun available to read - also asked FS to lodge complaint on my behalf.

And to that TOOL seated in 3A on SQ228 Sat May 4 – HA HA coughking HA HA – it’s called Karma – god got you back – suffer in your jocks - let me paint the picture.

Arrived at MEL in plenty time to down a few Moets in the UA lounge prior to departure – had my usual 3C Suite – get changed and settle in as soon as boarding begins – life is grand – all things tiggity boo.

Receive a call from my #1 man to say a deal we had spent 3 weeks working on just came to fruition – EUREKA – and then I might have become a tad loud in sharing some last minute instructions to make progression as simple as possible.

TOOL in 3A turns and hushes me – fair enough – I was a bit loud – I was in the wrong – I apologized profusely and then finished call and had a discussion with TOOL as to where he was heading / for how long / you know general chit chat to calm the waters – I then proceeded on my quest of a Krug transfusion.

Announcement that all electronic devices must now be turned off and we push back with TOOL in 3A still digit punching away on his iPhone to his little hearts content – 2 or 3 mins later still digit punching – I catch eye of FA and notion with movement of head to 3A TOOL – FA approached and asks him to turn off.

2 or 3 mins later TOOL in 3A still punching away – again I catch eye of different cabin staff member – this time IFS comes and instructs him to turn off. TOOL looks at him and then looks back to iPhone and keeps punching away – now the conversation get really animated and IFS threatens to return to dock and off load him. TOOL reluctantly turns his phone off and we proceed – UNBELIEVABLE.

Did I mention this guy was an absolute TOOL?

...a Krug transfusion...

You could share the suites with me and enjoy the whole bottle.

One glass and I'm done !

I think SQ gets a better deal transporting me (than you)

PS: just curious, you meant 3F (or 3C - middle suite ??) assuming you travelled solo.

Just did HKG - SFO in F.

Amenity pack is now 'Sothy's'...

1 x Hydra Nourishing Body Lotion
1 x Softening Emulsion (?!)
1 x Light Hydrating Cream
1 x Intense Lip Care

Much preferred Kiels.

Yes always 3C for me - RHD - get my bed made next door - if daytime flt and 3D vacant you can use up the adjoining space - really make yourself at home.

That is a great tip...

There was a time when I always went for 3A / 4A / 3K / 4K when travelling Solo... However 3C or perhaps 2C actually seem like the best seat as the 'D' seat is often vacant, giving you double the room ;)

Unless Cove is aboard! :p
(As I recall he invented the system!)

I'm not sure who 'invented' it, but it is a good tip. Let's just hope that other solo travellers like to look out the window...

Just follow my advice young un' and you won't go wrong.

Well, whoever has first dibs, it was a great tip - and continues to be a lovely game.
I know I'm in good company, in having taken advantage of the system. :)

Mind you, to be fair, I've had a similar offer in QF First, on more than one occasion.

Total indulgence, while Nero fiddles? :)

I scanned through some routes (LHR / FRA - SIN) on various days over a two week period in May 2013.

There was only one single instance of both middle rows fully occupied.

Vast majority of the time travelers are scattered along A and F.

CruiserElite, you are a contrarian but your method should work.

What I usually do is taking 2/3F and on boarding indicate my wish for 2/3D as a bed.

I also had 2F for meals and 3F for sleeping. Worked a treat !

So far, so good as I have not bumped into CruiserElite !

Whoops, I meant 2C and 3C :oops::oops::oops:, althrough row 3 feels more "private" ;)

*fixed my pervious post
