Suites savers now available

Thanks guys - but now I have two conflicting pieces of info :-) I have both an ANA account and a paid EF account - I'll do some test searching but obviously it's hard to know whether seeing nothing means "doesn't work" or "works, but nothing is available". Anyone else want to chime in one way or another to help narrow it down.

Answering my own question for the benefit of others - definitely visible via EF, as I was able to see LH F availability later this week (and confirmed via a LifeMiles search). Didn't try ANA.

Picked up a Suite to get my youngest son from SIN-NRT-LAX as the way to get to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014 so both my sons are getting there through Los Angeles.

You're a good father.

I send my kids in J, Y+ or Y normally. F seems like a bit of a waste, except in the case of US domestic, when I wouldn't want to put them in Y, even as a punishment!!

Suggest you call them.
I had a flight I could not access today and it got fixed by the operator in a few seconds as the flight had changed.
All good now.

Thanks cove will give it a go. Tried using the online contact form and their response was "thank you for your feedback. We are working with out vendors to improve our online experience" but didn't actually address the problem.

On the topic of SQ Suites - unless world comes to an end bw now and next Mon I will in Suites SQ 228 15:45 then SQ 346 to BCN - am I likely to cross paths with any other AFFer?

We have 2/4/2/2 but in different directions and dates for our family members. I have started denting the Citi Select points that were transferred out of that warehouse a few months ago.

How time flies when having fun !

On a yatch in northern Croatia after my suite savers trip from SYD SIN CDG FRAN SPU

Can say I feel SG suites have top four infrastructure of F class A380 along with EK TG and MH

How much does areal and service make to your F experience?

To me. Probably the difference!

Doing F suites from LHR SIN SYD on way he in ten days. Will be good to compare!

Here's a picture to show AFFers how to update a thread ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1377189238.141151.jpg

Slightly off topic if I may, but this thread has all the right aficionados IMO.

Has anyone succeeded in getting 4x SQ J savers on the same flight ex SYD ?

I am toying around and all I could see is 3x as far as the schedule goes.

Maybe one had to go ex MEL and meet up in SIN.

Should I request 2 x 2 ex SYD instead ?

Curiously, ex SIN to EU there are 4x J savers.

Thoughts ?

To give you guys an idea of loadings - MEL-SIN next week - bear in mind 2C/2D on 380 and 1C/1D on 77W blocked:

1. MEL-SIN.JPG

SIN-ZRH:

2. SIN-FRA.JPG

Week later FRA-SIN:

3. FRA-SIN.JPG

Slab of Crownies to the first AFFer to correctly nominate my favourite seat? (Hint - RHD)

Now as much as I love Suites - FRA-SIN arrives 06:50 - 380 dep SIN at 21:00 - nah I can't wait that long - so:

4. SIN-MEL.JPG

IMHO another reason to continually choose same seat is that it simplifies return from WC - after 2 / 3 botts Krug ones inbuilt mental GPS device can become somewhat confused.

I thought that was jet lag.
2C?
Our next one is two weeks away.
A young child sang "hooray, hooray we are in Dooblin" as we landed in Dublin yesterday on Aer Lingus. A very nice touch!

The idea of flying 4 involves splitting up either the starting points or flights in times. We still fly as a couple despite the additional points for one Standard Suite and one Saver Suite.
We had a 9 hour layover in Singapore recently so we tried the Crowne Plaza at Changi and stayed there to kill the time. That worked for us.

Booked 2x Suites Saver on 10 Jan from Singapore to Sydney! Now I just have to book the rest of the trip haha

By the way, I found that sometimes a leg is not available but if you do a connecting flight all of sudden there is availability. Eg, I was looking for Singapore to Amsterdam and couldn't find 2xJ Saver in late December. However, I found Male -> Amsterdam 2xJ saves (via Singapore), so I booked that, and then called up Krisflyer and asked them to cancel the Male -> Singapore leg of that ticket. There were some to-ing and fro-ing but in the end they canceled the Male ticket and manually rebooked me on the Singapore to Amsterdam 2J Saver tickets!

That's a new one on me Ray - thanks for the tip. I have often found orig to dest via SIN shows not available - but both orig to SIN and SIN to dest show availability same date / same flt if searched separately - if I do find this a simple call to Crystal at KF call centre in SIN and she will fix it for me - but you have another possible solution to keep in mind.

Thanks again for a great tip Ray - and pls do report back post your Suites exp.

Hello fellow AFF'ers!

I've just picked myself up one of these suite savers for a SYD/SIN/LHR trip on October 1.

I had redeemed a J saver on SQ222 (A380) / SQ306 (777-300ER) but then just yesterday I saw a suite saver on SQ222 pop up that wasn't there before. So I did a 'change my booking' online and it let me select First Class/Suites on my existing flights. At first I thought that was a little strange (is it normal that you can upgrade a redemption booking?).

When I hit 'purchase' the SQ website did seem to lose its marbles for a bit, taking me back to the homepage without any confirmation. Then about an hour later I logged in and the booking appeared as confirmed in F. I rang up customer service later on, and the CSR indicated that the points shortfall (31875 KF miles) would need to be paid within a few days but confirmed that the seat was indeed mine.

Still can't believe it! Apologies if this all seems a bit obvious, I'm pretty new to all this and incredibly excited to possibly trying this amazing product.

Unfortunately no suite saver avail SIN-LHR so I guess I'll just have to slum it in the regular First cabin on that sector ;)

+1 to cove's comments Danere. I fully understand your experience - my very first Suite experience was under similar circumstances - I upgraded J Saver redemption to Suite Saver redemption 4 hrs before departure MEL-SIN-PEK - indeed SQ site also went haywire but KF call centre rep phoned me from SIN in like 30 mins and guaranteed all was good. (SIN-PEK sector also std F - I have learnt to tolerate that cabin :D)

From memory it took several days for extra points to be deducted. If in J now I never do OLCI just in case of last minute changes - just front up to airport instead.

Thanks for the warm welcome cove and Cruiser Elite!

Nice tip. Must say the fact that you can upgrade the booking online a few hours before the flight is pretty impressive.

Incidentally I was surprised that it even let me upgrade given the fact I hadn't transfer the miles from AMEX MR yet. This sort of thing makes it quite easy to overlook the occasional quirks in the SQ site! :D

Suite Saver Fare SYD-HKG via SIN same as SYD-SIN

Booked Suite Saver fare for 65750 miles full redemption SYD-HKG. SYD-SIN on A380 Suites and First for SIN-HKG.. Checked how much it would've been for just one sector aka SYD-SIN and it was the same!! Therefore got an 'an extra sector' in F for SIN-HKG. Terrific bargain of course!!

I think SIN-HKG is also A380 on some flights so maybe doube suites??

Yeah your right about A380 SIN-HKG.. 2 things tho.
On the SYD-SIN A380 departure it gets me into SIN past 17:00. I can connect straight away to HKG at 18:00 something ie: the 777-300ER offering. As I'm on a tight schedule I need to be in HKG that evening. Also, when I selected this fare the system didn't allow an A380 SIN-HKG connection anyway! I haven't tried SQ First so it was kind of like a tester / combo of both their luxe products in one hit. So I'm quite pleased.
Correction on the miles required, I meant 63,750. It seems the rumours are correct, I think they only release ONE Saver Suites redemption. I booked this one about 2 weeks ago for Nov 15 departure. Now only Standards available, however before it slid onto Standard they really were trying to sell you on the Saver leaving at 7:40 in the morning - 777-300ER of course!! Not A380 and def not as "sweet".. I wonder if similar fares such as one I booked is available too? That includes 'an extra sector' but still costing the same as one aka SYD-SIN for 63,750 that's within the 2-3.5 hour flying time from SIN. Eg: SYD-BKK or SYD-PVG or the likes!! If no than its prob cos they feel the HK market or CX market is important to them?!
